Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi claimed victory in Saturday’s presidential election organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Nasarawa state.
Former Anambra state governor beat All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar for second and third place respectively in the state.
According to the results announced by INEC, the Labor standard-bearer scored 191,361 points, while Tinubu and Atiku scored 172,922 and 147,093,
respectively. INEC announced that 562,464 voters registered out of a total of 2,552,716 registered. The total number of votes cast was 556,937, of which 540,566 were valid and 16,371 were rejected.
