King Roland's POV♥️

‘Gregory do you hear that??'..I asked as I heard a loud thud outside my study and then we both rushed outside..

‘What is that?? Is it a dead animal??'..He asked and then I grabbed a torch only for me to see Alondria with blood all splattered over her body…

‘Oh my God what happened to her?! We have to help her Roland!! Who did this to her?!'…Gregory exclaimed and I smiled..

‘Get someone to take her to my garden house and tend to her'..

I said to a guard and he nodded and walked away…

‘She looks like she was attacked by a tiger'..Gregory gasped looking utterly concerned…

He's never been interested in any woman before talkless of a maid so why is he so concerned about the slave maid??..

‘No…Those weren't animal marks'.

‘Really?? Then what are those??'…

‘Whip marks and I know who's behind them'…

‘Ohhh please she's just a slave'…Mother muttered..

‘Just a maid?!! Mother that's a human being and she's spewing blood!! What on Earth has come over you mother I thought you were sweet??

I thought you were passionate and kind?!! Why on Earth would you do that to a maid?!!

I had specific rules that whenever a servant misbehaved that servant should be sent to me and not punished my anyone else!!'..I yelled..

‘I am your mother Roland!! I am your mother and I will not have you talk to me that way!!

i was the queen of this Kingdom before you were born and I still am the queen!!! I will not have you talk to me in a disrespectful manner!'..She fired back and I scoffed loudly…

If this was the woman father got married to then he would have called for a royal annulment of some sort!!..

‘Look mother,she's the slave I bought so she belongs to me and no one else!! I can do whatever i want to do with her and I will not tolerate callousness from anyone most especially from you'..

‘So you're yelling at your mother for some slave??'..She asked and I sighed deeply..

‘Mother l—

‘I will not have you disrespect me Roland!! if I want you down from the throne I will have you down!!

You certainly have to right to yell at me just because of a maid whose life has no meaning in this palace!! She is a commoner and she could die for all I care!!'..
