Dedication of Independence Day to Mohbad and the Oppressed – Okei-Odumakin

Dedication of Independence Day to Mohbad and the Oppressed – Okei-Odumakin, joe Okei-Odumakin, the President of the Centre for Change, emphasized in a special statement on Independence Day that, given the “torrent of negative occurrences” throughout the year, Nigeria’s Independence Day now symbolizes the memory of the late entertainer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, and the oppressed individuals he symbolizes worldwide.

Mohbad, a Nigerian rapper and singer, passed away on September 12, prompting allegations of conflicts involving the owner of Mohbad’s former record label, Marlian Music, Naira Marley, and calls for justice.

Odumakin’s statement highlighted the worldwide support for Mohbad and the oppressed, emphasizing that this support represents a silver lining in challenging times. She called on true patriots in Nigeria and beyond to reflect on this Independence Day and stand in solidarity with the world.
