★( A DRUNK NIGHT ) ★
“Mosquito?” Carding asked.
“Yes, a very big one, it was buzzing on your face, so I had to slap it off” Paige said hoping Carding will believe her.
“But isn’t it too early for mosquito to be buzzing around, and besides our lounge is always sanitized, so I doubt any insect will be breeding here” Carding said looking at her.
“I’m not lying Carding, I actually saw a very big mosquito buzzing on your face” Paige said demonstrating.
Carding stood to his feet and snuggle closer to her, and Paige moves backward staggering.
“W… Wh… What” She asked stuttering.
“Are you sure it’s really a mosquito that was buzzing on my face” Carding said as he walks more closer to her.
“Of… of course” Paige answers going backward still her back made contact with the wall.
“Really” Carding asked with a silly smile.
Paige gulped down hard.
“Yes, What other reason could it be?” Paige asked.
“You were leaning so closer to my face, and it doesn’t look like you were trying to kill a mosquito, Were you by chance trying to kiss me?” Carding asked with a smile.
“Of course not!” Paige answers sharply, pushing him away slightly.
Carding smiles.
“Were you tempted to kiss me?” He asked.
Paige laughs dramatically.
“I told you I wasn’t… Why… Why will I want to kiss you, just because you have a s*xy lips doesn’t mean I wanted to kiss you” Paige rushly said.
Carding smiles and leans forward to her face.
“So you find my lips tempting?” He asked with a seducing smile.
“No I don’t!!!” Paige yells and Carding smiles again.
“Is obvious you do, Your eyes are twinkling”
“That’s how my eyes have always been… FYI, it was a slip of the tongue, I don’t find your lips attracting and I wasn’t planning on kissing you, not now and definitely not ever” Paige said rushing her words and how she said it made Carding smile.
“So are you set?” Carding asked.
“Set for what?” Paige asked blinking
Carding chuckles.
“Have you forgotten why you came to Empire High, today is the auspicious day for the exam” Carding said.
“Oh that’s right… Even if I have nothing in my head, am ready to take the exam” She said.
“Are you saying you have forgotten everything I taught you?” Carding said.
“Yes, I don’t remember a single thing you taught me, it enter my left ear, and flew away from my right ear, I sucks when it comes to book”
“That’s because the only thing you have in that brain of yours is hamburger”
“Yes, hamburger and food” Paige said and Carding laughs.
“Your really crazy”.
“Atleast I made you laugh right?” Paige said smiling and Carding nods.
“And don’t worry Paige, your definitely going to pass” He said.
“You think so?”
“I know so” Carding replies and both look at each other smiling.
Angelo and Dylan enters the lounge.
“Carding” Both called his name at the same time and Carding looks at them.
“Dylan, Angelo” He said smiling.
“Who is she?” Angelo asked.
“She’s my friend her name is…
“Paige Castillo, that’s my name, AKA, crazy noise maker” Paige introduce.
“Then you must be she’s crazy?” Dylan asked.
“She’s crazy?” Paige asked.
“Yes, when Carding talked about a girl, he said she’s crazy, your definitely her right?” Dylan asked.
“Yes she’s the one” Carding answers his question.
“Is she your girlfriend?” Angelo asked.
“Of course not, I and Carding are friends… Just friends” Paige said smiling.
“Wow, I guess you must be a special friend to him, Carding rarely hang out with the opposite s*x” Dylan said.
“Really?” Paige asked looking at Carding.
“Yes, his life is revolved around us, and since he once talked about you, you must be special” Angelo said.
“That’s enough you two” Carding said.
“Guess am really special, I mean no one hang out with me and gets bored, am so filed with energy and so crazy too, am the queen of craziness” Paige said fitstyling.
And both Angelo and Dylan laugh.
“Your indeed crazy, and your fun to be with” Dylan said and Angelo nods in support.
“So what brings you to Empire High? I doubt you school here” Angelo said.
“I’m taking the scholarship exam today” Paige answers.
“That’s means your brilliant just like Carding?” Dylan asked and Angelo looks at him.
“Brilliant? Am definitely not in that category, Just like am the Queen of craziness, am also the Queen of the dullard Kingdom” Paige said, and the three boys laugh.
“So how are you going to pass the exam” Dylan asked still laughing.
“Is called confidence” She said and Carding smiles.
“I really like you, your one kinda a crazy girl, you won’t mind hanging out with us right? ” Dylan asked.
“Sure, if I don’t, no one will” Paige said and hits hands with both Angelo and Dylan.
Nadine enters the lounge, and both Angelo and Dylan frowns on seeing her.
The hatred that they have for her, can’t even be compared to a moving airplane.
The four of them including Nadia all grew up together, since they all went to thesame elementary school, but not once did Angelo or Dylan have the slightest like for her.
She was someone they’d trade away for a can of soda.
“Carding…. Nadine stops halfway when she sees Paige.
“What the heck are you doing here b*tch!!!” Nadine yells.
“And shouldn’t I be asking you that lizard” Paige fires back.
“Do you both know each other?” Carding asked, while Angelo and Dylan looked at them.
“Of course I know her, a senceless human, whose brain is connected with wire” Paige said and both Angelo and Dylan laugh.
“Brain connected with wire, I think that’s why she’s always acting abnormal” Angelo said
“Definitely” Dylan added laughing.
Nadine’s anger boil.
“How dare you call me names!!!!” Nadine said trying to slap Paige, but Carding held her hand, before it landed on Paige’s face.
“Carding” She calls.
“Don’t even think about it Nadine” Carding said still holding her hand.
“You should have allow her slap me Carding, so that I can show her the difference between proper fraction and improper fraction, dipping your face in that dirty mud will have been small, I’ll have send you to your great grandma, if those filthy hand of yours landed in my face” Paige said.
Nadine takes her hand from Carding and glared at Paige.
“I heard your the so-called queen of Empire High, You should pray so hard that I don’t pass, cos if by chance I do, and you show this rotten behavior to me, the whole school is going to attend your funeral” Paige said.
Dylan and Angelo laughs so hard, Carding himself couldn’t stop himself from laughing.
“You have no idea who my mom is Paige, she’s….
“As long as she’s not the mother of Jesus Christ or a goblin, am not afraid of you and your mom, if care is not taken, I might beat you and your so called mom, tie you both in the same basket and sell you both at the nearest bus stop” Paige said.
And both Angelo and Dylan falls to the ground laughing.
“Paige, Just kill me” Dylan said laughing.
“I wonder how much her Mom is going to cost?” Angelo said laughing.
“Firty box, since she’ll just be skinny like her so called skeleton daughter, the entertainment industry must be blind, taking a broom stick as a model”
“Broom…. What?” Nadine asked.
“Am sure you ain’t deaf, I better go take the exam before you inflict your bad omen on me… See you all later” Paige said leaving.
“Bye Paige” Angelo and Dylan said laughing.
“Can you stop laughing?” Nadine half yelled at them.
“Just get ready Nadine, Cos you have finally seen your match, she’s definitely not the kinda girl you can mess with” Angelo said.
“I was able to laugh so well thanks to Paige, brain connected with wire” Dylan said, and he and Angelo laugh.
“See you in class Carding, finally got something to laugh about” Angelo said.
“I know right” Dylan laughs and both leaves the lounge laughing.
Carding smiles lightly, he takes his backpack ready to leave the lounge and Nadine held him.
“Aren’t you going to say anything?” She asked.
“Anything like what?” He returned the question.
“I don’t know how you got to know her, but that girl insulted me”
“So?”
“So? Is that all your going to say? She called me a brain connected with wire, and yet you didn’t even allow me slap her, she insulted me Carding”
“And what do you want me to do?”
“I heard your mom is in charge of the students intakes, So tell your mom not to allow her pass”
“And why should I do that?”
“Cos am your childhood friend Carding, we grew up together, and don’t tell me your just going to let a random crazy girl become part of your school”
“I think is for the best if she gets to school here”
“What!!”
“Have been putting up with you because of the fact that we’re childhood friends and for the fact that your the face of the school’s weekly magazines, and for my dad who kinda like you, I guess is time Paige set you straight”.
“Carding”
Carding ignores her and leaves, Nadine crimps her fingers angrily.

“Am I late?” Paige asked rushing to where Desiree was.
“No but is about to start… But where did you go?” Desiree asked.
“I went to see a friend, his name is Carding?”
“Carding Wendell?”
“You know him” Paige asked.
“Of course I do, everyone whose eager to go to Empire High knows him, he and his friends, Angelo and Dylan are popular here in this school, and they’re known as the CAD, Carding is more popular since his dad owns this school”.
“Carding’s Dad is the founder of Empire High!” Paige said with eyes wide opened.
“There’re lots of things you need to know, and I being the gossip Queen, I’ll tell you all the latest gist, but let’s forcus more on the exam first” Desiree said and Paige nods.
Both were about entering the exam hall, when Stacey approach them.
“Am I late for the exam?” She asked trying to caught her breath.
“No, we’re just about to enter” Paige said.
And she let out a relief.
“Thank God, Anyways am Stacey” She said smiling.
“I’m Desiree AKA Gossip Queen”.
“I’m Paige, AKA crazy noise maker”
Stacey laughs.
“You both are funny, I think I like you two already, You don’t mind being friends with me right?” Stacey asked smiling.
“No” Paige and Desiree said.
Stacey giggles and held their hands.
“Thanks alot, am also going to show you both my Best friend, she gained scholarship last session, she’s isn’t the lively one, but she’s the best” Stacey said smiling.
Paige and Desiree returns the smile.
The time for the exam was announced, and the three went in to write the exam.
And all through the exam, Paige was ticking any options that comes to her head.

Nadine screams so loudly as she enters the restroom, she was burning in great anger, and the fact that Carding defended her worsten everything.
“How dare she call me a brain connected with wire and not only that a broom stick, Carding even went as far as supporting her, he took side with her instead of me, who have been his childhood friend, I must find a way to get rid of that girl, I can’t let her be in this school, Carding is mine and mine alone!!!!” She screams angrily.
She takes her phone and dial someone’s number.
“Hello, Aunt Odessa” Nadine said.
“Nadine, Why did you call?”
“Cuz I seriously need your help, Will you help me?”
“Sure, What do you want Nadine?” Odessa asked.
“I can’t tell you over the phone, Can I meet up with you?”
“Sure, you can come over to the house” Odessa said and Nadine smirks.

“How was the exam?” Carding said walking in the school hallway with her.
Stacey already left for her part-time job, and Desiree left too to help her dad out in his shop. Paige didn’t want to go home, so she decided to walk around the school premises with Carding, who accepted to.
“I won’t be surprised if I fail, cos I didn’t know what I answered”.
“Your going to pass” Carding said.
“Are you going to use your influence as the son of the owner of Empire High to make sure I pass?”. She asked
Carding looks at her.
“How did you know?”
“I have a friend who seems to know all the latest gist, So she told me, Why didn’t you tell me Carding?”
“I felt it wasn’t necessary, Are you mad at me?” Carding asked.
“Why should I? Is your choice to tell me and is also your choice not to…. Let’s cerebrate”
“Huh?”
“Your going to take care of I passing right, So we should cerebrate that I have pass”.
Carding smiles.
“You amaze me Paige”
“How?”
“Here I thought you were going to get angry if you find out that I cheated your way in Into Empire High”
“And why should I? I don’t have the brain to pass an exam, and someone offers to help, of course I should be more than happy, it only happens in movie Carding, where the girl will want to pass with her brain and blames the guy for helping her through illegal means… In real life, no one will stress their brains, if they have backups, and since you have my back in the exam, we should cerebrate, but is going to be on you, I don’t have money” Paige said and Carding laughs.
“Your crazy Paige”
“I wasn’t jocking when I said I was crazy, am the craziest of them all…. So drinks on you right?”
Carding nods smiling.
“This is why I love you so much” Paige said.
“I better get use to your naughty words, or I might take it to heart” Carding said and Paige giggles.

“Cheers!!!” Paige screams clicking the glass with Carding as she gulps down the entire liquor in the glass cup.
She’s has been drinking since they got to the bar, Carding tries stopping her from drinking, but she keeps insisting on drinking.
“Is late already Paige, let’s go home” Carding said.
A Paige looks at him and smiles.
“Your so handsome” She said giggling.
“Your drunk, I’ll take you home, Where do you live?” He asked.
“Down down down down the street” Paige said laughing.
“I shouldn’t have let her drink” Carding mutttered, helping Paige stand on her feet.
“I don’t want to go home, let’s drink some more… You should also sing too, I so much love your voice” Paige said laughing.
“Let’s just go” Carding said holding her, but Paige jerk his hand off and climbs on the table.
“Everyone!!!” She screams laughing, attracting the other customers.
“I’m the MC of today, and our upcoming Soloist Carding Wendell, is going to sing for us, come up on stage, cheer for him woah!!!” Paige screams and all eyes fell on Carding.
“I’m not a singer” He said and carries Paige.
“His a singer, his really good, his stupid Dad is the one stopping him, Your going to love his voice” Paige said as Carding takes her out of the bar.

Carding breaths in and out after he managed to put Paige Inside the car, she has been displaying outside the bar.
“Why did you drink when you can’t handle it?” He asked.
Paige looks at him and giggles.
“Cuz I wanted to… Carding” she called him and Carding looks at her.
“Thank you” She said smiling.
“For what?” He asked.
“I know we just met, and don’t know much about each other, but you have been a great friend to me, You help me without asking for anything in return, I wish you will be given a chance to do what you want, I really want to see you sing” She said smiling.
“Is impossible Paige… So tell me where you live”
“I don’t know… All I want to do right now is kiss you” She said and Carding looks at her.
“Your lips are so tempting and am sure is going to taste like my favorite vanilla lollipop” Paige said giggling.
“You want to kiss me?” He asked
And Paige nods.
“A deep wet one” She said staring at his lips.
“You won’t kill me tomorrow right?” Carding asked.
Paige giggles and shakes her head, she held the collar of his shirt and claims his lips taking possession of his lips.
It took some seconds before Carding reciprocated to the kiss, he wrapped his hands around her body, pulling her more closer to himself, kissing her back hungrily.
