“What are you waiting? Get lost before I do something crazy to you” Desiree said.

The girl glared at her, before leaving with her friends.

“Why did you that Desiree? She only wanted a picture with me, to boast her insta account”.

“To boast her insta account? Since when did you become a celebrity, huh!!” Desiree yells at him.

“And why are you raising your voice at me?”

“Because you allowed that girl to be touchy-touchy towards you!”

“And what does that have to do with you Desiree?”

“Huh?”

“Since when did you start getting pissed off about me being with other girls?” Bryan asked and that’s was when Desiree realize what she just did.

*Why did I do that?* She muttered inwardly and slowly looks at Bryan, who was looking at her confusingly.

*Am I by chance in love with him, without knowing?* She said inwardly.

*No, No, it can’t be. Not Bryan* Desiree said shaking her head and quickly took to her heels.

“Desiree” Bryan said going after her.

He caught up with her and held her head.

“What’s wrong Desiree?” Bryan asked.

Desiree jerks his off.

“I want to be alone” She said and run off.

Bryan watch her as she ran, without looking back.

“She’s so confusing” He muttered.

THE CASTILLO’S HOUSE***

Paige almost laughed out her kidney out, after Desiree told her what transpired between her and Bryan ealier.

“Can you stop laughing? Is not funny” Desiree throwing a pillow at her.

“Is so funny Desiree. You got jealous seeing Bryan with a girl…. My best friend knows how to be jealous” Paige said laughing.

“Stop laughing Paige. I’m finding it so confusing right now”.

“There’s nothing to be confused about bestie. You’re in love with Bryan”.

“That’s why I’m finding it so confusing Paige. I know myself so well. I know what I want, and I can clearly tell what I feel, but how on Earth couldn’t I know I have been in love with Bryan. I’ve always find him so annoying”.

“You were just too ignorant to know about it. Or maybe is because Bryan has always have his life wrapped around you. I guess seeing him with another girl ignited your feelings”.

“This is so lame. Why Bryan? Why him” Desiree squeals fraustratingly.

“You can’t control your heart Desiree. The heart always have what it wants”.

“What should I do?” Desiree asked pouting.

“What else? Confess your feelings for him”.

“Are you crazy? You want me to tell Bryan that I love him?”

“But you do, right”

“Never. I won’t. Now that I know I’m in love with that jerk, I’ll just get rid of this stupid feelings” Desiree said.

“Suit yourself then. But remember you own me five hundred dollars”.

“Five hundred dollars? When? How?” Desiree asked.

Paige clears her throat.

“I won’t just give you two hundred dollars, but five hundred dollars. Fall in Love with Bryan… that will be in my next life when I’m not called Desiree and he’s not called Bryan” Paige mimicked Desiree’s voice some days ago.

“That’s not the issue here Paige”.

“I don’t care Desiree. You were so confident saying you were never going to fall in love with Bryan. Your going to give me my five hundred dollars else I’m going to go to your dad’s convenience store and take groceries worth five hundred dollars”.

“Fine, I’m going to give it to you. But can I spend the night here?”

“Why?”

“I can’t possibly go back home, I’ll see Bryan’s face”

“So?”

“I don’t want to see his face, it’s so embarrassing”.

“My house is not a hotel where you can lodge, so go home Desiree, your house is just two steps away”.

“Seriously your going to do this to your best friend?”.

Paige giggles and wears a serious face afterwards.

“Yes I’m, go back to your house” Paige said pushing her out of the house.

“Paige I don’t want to go home. I want to stay here” Desiree pouted.

“Go home and start your own love story” Paige said.

She push her out of the house and giggles.

“Maybe prophesying is really my calling” Paige said smiling.

But her smile disappeared when she looks at the wall clock.

“Is almost 10PM and he’s not yet back. I hope he’s not overworking himself” Paige muttered sadly.

EDWARD’S BBQ SHOP***

“Lemme you with that Uncle” Carding said with a bright smile, when he sees Edward trying so hard to take a ceramic cup from the shelf.

Carding took the cup and gives it to Edward.

“Thanks Carding. Guess being tall have an advantage” He said and Carding smiles.

“You weren’t home on time last night. Did something happen?” Edward asked.

“No uncle. I was working”

“Working?”

“Yes. I work in a restaurant during the evenings cuz I have school during the day” Carding answers.

“Are you working because you feel your a burden to us? You don’t have to feel that way Carding. Your not just Paige’s boyfriend but also like a son to me. We may be poor, but I never allowed Paige to work for money, the same should be applied to you”.

“I just want to help out uncle. And my mom can’t possibly stay in your house when she wakes up from coma. I’m working so I can provide a place for her to live in, when she wakes up”.

“Can you be able to handle it? You grew up rich” Edward said.

“Yes I did, but my mom thought me the basic of life, and that’s why I was able to adjust to the life I have now”.

“Then she must be a good mom”.

“Yes. She’s the best, and that’s why it hurts seeing her in coma”.

“Don’t worry Carding, she’s going to be fine”

“I hope so” Carding muttered.

“How about your dad? Have you heard from him?”

“No I haven’t. I cut ties with him after I left the house. Since he’s the business and money freak type, I’m sure he’s on a business trip like always” Carding said.

Edward smiles lightly.

“Please protect my daughter. She means a lot to me” Edward said.

“I’ll uncle”

Edward smiles and pats him softly.

“What should I help you with Uncle?” Carding asked smiling.

“Don’t bother Carding”

“I insist on helping my father in-law out”.

“Father in law?”

“I’m going to marry Paige someday. Is it okay if I call you father in-law?”

Edward laughs.

“I see Paige craziness is already affecting you” Edward said and Carding smiles.

“What should I help you do around here?”

“Fine, help me slice the salad… You know how to slice it, right?”

“Yes I do. Cooking is my number one favorite thing” Carding said, going into business.

Edward looks at him and smiles.

DELOITTE CONGLOMERATE***

Velvet stands here the elevator as her head keep longing itself, checking if Greg was coming.

She looks at her diamond wrist watch.

“Is already 12PM. Why is he not coming out yet?” Velvet muffled to herself.

Her face brighten when she sees Greg coming towards the elevator with Jace. And when they got nearer, she pretended she was about entering the elevator.

“Good afternoon ma’am.” Jace greeted. Though he was expecting her to frown her face at him, but she surprised Jace with a smile.

“Are you both leaving already?” Velvet asked with her face fixed on Greg.

“Yes we’re” Jace answers, while Greg was just on his phone.

He was looking at the different kinds of saloons, sent to him by the agent he employed. Velvet looks at him, wondering what he was so busy looking at.

“Then let’s ride the elevator together, I’m leaving too” She said.

“Really?” Jace asked, surprised at her new behavior.

Velvet nods and looks at Greg.

“Aren’t you leaving Greg?” She asked, and that was when Greg looks at her.

“I’m”.

And with that, the three of them entered the elevator. Greg continued with what he was looking at. And Velvet was kind of curious to know what he was looking at.

“What are you busy looking at? You seem engrossed with it”.

“Well, he’s looking for a saloon for his….” Greg covers Jace’s mouth, cutting him short.

“Is nothing ma’am” Greg said pocketing his phone.

“Have you both eaten lunch?” She asked, and both Greg and Jace looks at her at the same time.

“Well, if you haven’t, you can join me. I want to eat out for lunch. Do you know any good restaurants?”velvet asked looking at Greg.

“Well Greg here knows a lot about Chicago, since he was born and brought up here” Jace said and Velvet looks at him.

“You don’t have to treat us out ma’am” Greg said and Jace intentionally match his feet.

“Ouch”

“I’m sure you want her to treat us out, right?” Jace said giving him an eye signal to say yes.

He has never eaten in a restaurant before, and he won’t allow this opportunity to go to waste.

Greg looks at his friend, and sighs.

“I think I know a good restaurant” Greg said and secretly glared at Jace, who return his glare with a smile.

RESTAURANT***

“Lemme help you with that” Velvet said when Greg was struggling to cut the Tasmania beef in his plate.

Velvet took it from him, and helped him cut it into serveral cube shapes.

“Here you go Greg” Velvet said with a smiling face.

“Thanks” Greg said returning the smile.

Jace took a full spoon of pasta inside his mouth watching them.

“Thanks for treating us out ma’am” Jace said when they were outside the restaurant.

Velvet smilies lightly and looks at Greg.

“It was nice eating out with you”.

“Same here ma’am” Greg answers and Velvet smiles at him.

Jace waited patiently for her to leave the premises of the restaurant, before voicing out what he has been holding in.

“What was that earlier?” Jace asked.

“What was what?”

“Since when did that witch know how to smile? She even treat us out on lunch, and not only that she helped you cut the Tasmania beef you were eating”.

“I don’t know either Jace. She just woke up one morning and started acting nice”.

“Maybe God visited her… But she’s so pretty yunno”

“And so? Her pretty face got nothing to do with me” Greg said.

“Yeah, Nina is the only pretty girl in your eyes, but the fact still remains that she’s more prettier than Nina. She’s like a goddess of beauty”.

“Compare Nina to her again, and I’ll forget the fact that your my friend and smash your head” Greg said looking serious.

“Jeez. I’m just joking, Can’t you take a joke?”

“Well not with Nina” Greg said walking away.

“Why he loves Nina so much is what I can’t predict” Jace muffled.

“Wait for me!” He said loudly, running to catch up with Greg.

“Ouch, Dad it hurts” Nadia winces, as her dad treat her knee

Mr. McDonald looks and sighs.

“Why’re you always allowing Nadine to step on you Nadia. She’s your twin, not your elder sister. Don’t you think is high time for you to defend yourself?” Mr McDonald said.

“Dad. I didn’t come to your house just for you to scold me. I’m always having it hot at home, don’t add to it” Nadia said.

“That’s because your allowing that mother of yours control you. She’s forcing you into modeling and your just doing as she pleases, you and your boyfriend can’t even tell the world your dating”.

“Why’re you suddenly bringing that up Dad?”

“I feel bad for you Nadia. Are you going to continue keeping your relationship with him a secret”.

“But you know about it”.

“What about his family? Do they know, no right? Even Nadine and that whore of a woman doesn’t know too” Mr McDonald said.

“Dad, with time we’re going to let everyone know. This isn’t the best time” Nadia said.

“I wish I can just take you from your mom. It hurts that my precious daughter have to endured her mom’s naggings”.

Nadia smiles and cuddle her arms around her dad.

“Don’t worry about me Dad I’ll be fine. And don’t try to confront mom, you already know how is going to end”.

Mr. McDonald smiles lightly.

“I Wish I didn’t get married to your mom, I regret it”.

“You can always get married again dad. Your still handsome and dashing too. You should get married again, so you won’t have to be lonely when I’m not here” Nadia said.

“Marriage isn’t for me anymore Nadia. I’ll just concentrate on my business, so I can provide for my Nady baby” Mr. McDonald said and Nadia giggles and hugs her dad.

Nadia later went to her room since she has one in her dad’s house.

She looks at her boyfriend’s picture that was in her wallpaper, she smiles and quickly puts him on video call.

He picked at first ring and Nadia sees him taking some medicines.

“Are you sick? Why’re you taking drugs?” Nadia asked worriedly and he smiles.

“I’m fine bunny, don’t worry about me”.

“How can I not worry, when I’m seeing you taking drugs”.

He smiles.

“I’m fine. My head just hurts, that’s all”.

“You sure?”

“Yes I’m. Seems like your at your dad’s house?”

“Yes. Which means I can talk to you for long” Nadia said smiling.

“Should I gist you about what happened today?” He asked smiling.

“Yes babe, Tell me all about it” Nadia said smiling.

The room was later filled with laughter as Nadia and her boyfriend talked on the phone.

THE CASTILLO’S HOUSE***

Paige enters Grey’s room and sees Carding about to put on his shirt.

He just had a shower, after coming back from the restaurant.

“Your back” Paige said and Carding nods smiling.

Paige pouted and hugs him tightly.

“What’s wrong Paige?”

“I miss you”.

Carding chuckles.

“I only left for just Six hours Paige”.

“But it was like six years to me” Paige said rubbing his bare chest.

Carding smiles and hoisted her up. Paige coiled her legs in his waist and her arms around his neck.

“I missed you too Paige, I kept thinking about you while working”.

“Maybe you should stop working”.

“Nah. That’s not a good idea”.

“Then kiss me still you make up for the hours you weren’t here”.

Carding smiles, removing the strand of her hair.

“Are you that obsessed with my lips?” Carding asked and Paige nods locking her lips with his.

The kiss kept deepening as the clock keep sticking its seconds.

Carding was still carrying Paige as they moved towards the bed still kissing.

Carding sits on the bed, the moment his legs touch the bed, while Paige who was being carried by him, sits in his lap, as they kissed hotly.

Their heads kept turning left and right, without breaking the kiss.

And as the kiss became intense, Carding’s hands went to her b**bs, he squeeze it softly and Paige moans.

Carding immediately broke the kiss.

“Why did you stop?” She asked.

“We shouldn’t take things to the next level” Carding said.

“And why not?”

“Your brother doesn’t approve for us to have s*x yet, including your Dad too, Greg will kill me if I make a move on you”.

“No one is going to find out you have digged the hole” Paige said and tries to kiss him but Carding resisted.

“What if your parents or your brother comes in, and sees us f**king”

“My parent aren’t at home Carding, and they won’t be coming back still tomorrow. Greg said he’ll be spending the night at Jace’s. So we’re home alone Carding”.

“But…”

Carding reciprocated to the kiss, and the kiss became intense again.
