★( THE DEVIL IN HER ) ★

Nadia excitedly went to him, and Bryan quickly pulls her into a hug, hugging her tightly.

“I missed you so much Nadia” Bryan said sniffing in her sweet fragrance.

Nadia smiled as well.

“I missed you so much too Bryan”.

Bryan broke the hug and both look at each other with a smile on their faces.

FLASHBACK=SEVEN MONTH AGO***

It was snowing Vigorously in Chicago, and every houses and streets were covered with snow. It was very cold during the Snow period, and people are often seen in huge coats and jackets, some could go as far as wearing triple clothes on their body, including a huge neck scarf too.

Despite the coldness of the night, Bryan was still in the convenience store, attending to customers that keeps dropping by minutes after minutes.

He got a call from Mr. Carlos, Desiree’s Dad to come home, before he gets sick.

Bryan was about closing the door of the convenience store, when Nadia grabbed him, shaking Vigorously, like she was going to die in a second from now.

“Help me” She said with a shaky lips.

Bryan looks at her and she was covered in snow.

“What happened to you Miss?” Bryan said holding her, since she could barely stand.

Nadia only looked at him, before fainting in his arms.

“Miss” Bryan said trying to wake her up.

Nadia opens her eyes and sees Bryan looking at her. He didn’t go back home and his excuse to Mr. Carlos was that, he couldn’t get a cab, so he’ll be sleeping in the convenience store.

“Who’re you?” Nadia asked sitting up in the bed.

“You don’t remember me anymore?” Bryan asked in return and Nadia shakes her head.

“I was the guy who you ask to help you” Bryan said.

Nadia looks at him and sighs.

“What’re you still doing here? You should have left when you brought me to the hospital”

“I couldn’t. I’m the one who brought you here, so is my responsibility to seek to it that your fine, before leaving” Bryan said.

Nadia looks like him.

“What happened to you Miss? Why were you covered in snow”.

Nadia sighs sadly.

“My mom left me out there in the street Cuz I couldn’t win a Grammy like my sister did, and too bad I didn’t go with my car”.

“That’s so bad of her, how can she do that to her daughter because of a mere Grammy” Bryan said.

“I know right. Sometimes I often ask myself if I was adopted. Anyways my name’s Nadia”.

Bryan smiles.

“I’m Bryan”

“It was nice meeting you Bryan, thanks for helping me, even without knowing who I was” Nadia said stretching forth her hand.

Bryan shook hands with her. And both look at each other with a smile.

They became secret friends, still both eventually confess their feelings for each other.

Nadia suggested that they should keep their relationship a secret, because of her mom, won’t accept Bryan as her boyfriend due to the fact that he’s a poor orphan, who’s squatting with a poor family.

And the convenience store, Desiree showed to her that day, wasn’t new to her cause she has often gone to the convenience store, disguise as a customer, just to see Bryan.

And for Desiree she already knew her before approaching her when they became partners for the artwork Competition.

Being Bryan’s girlfriend, he already told her everything about himself.

“Bryan” Desiree called him when he came out to threw the expired products on the trashcan.

Nadia saw his sad his face was, and she secretly raised her eyebrows to ask him if he was okay, but Bryan only bows sightly and leaves.

And inorder not to create suspicion, Nadia quickly asked.

“Is everything okay with you both?… Who is he?”

“I don’t know how to introduce him to you, but let’s just say he’s kind of my brother from another mother and father” Desiree who have no idea about what was going on, gave answer to her question

“Oh, I think I understand where your coming from” Nadia said smiling and her eyes were glued on the glass wall of the convenience store.

“You should go ahead, I’ll talk to you at school tomorrow” Desiree said and enters the convenience store.

Knowing Nadia was going to be worried, he texted her, saying he was fine and he smiles when he saw her message.

He sees Desiree approaching him and he quickly pocketed his phone, walking to the other side of the shelf.

And no one apart from Mr. McDonald knew they were dating.

FLASHBACK ENDS***

“I’m sorry we have to keep our relationship a secret” Nadia said.

Bryan smiles and caress her cheeks softly.

“Don’t be sorry Bunny. I understand where your coming from. And I won’t want your mom to scold you because of me”.

“You know I love you so much, right?” Nadia said and Bryan smiles.

“I know that Nadia. And I love you so much too” Bryan said and Nadia smiles.

She raised her feet and planted a soft kiss on his lips which made Bryan smiles.

“Should we watch the fireworks together?” She asked and Bryan nods, locking his hands with hers.

BACK IN THE CROMWELL’S MANSION***

“Angelo has been the one helping Sabrina?” Stacey said with tears still in her eyes.

“He didn’t tell me, I got to find out myself. Sabrina may not know about it, but Angelo really cares about her, so you should….”

“I should forget about him? Why should I be the one to forget about him, when I clearly met him first? He showed kindness to me first, So why should I be the one giving up on him? Why? Why!!!” Stacey yells crying.

“Stacey” Dylan said trying to touch her, but Stacey drew his hand off, before it could get to her shoulder.

“You shouldn’t have told me about this Dylan. You should’ve kept quiet like you knew nothing!!!” Stacey said and quickly leaves.

She met Mila when she was about leaving.

“Are you all right?” Mila asked, but Stacey ignores her and completely leave the room. Milia turns her gaze to Dylan.

“Why’re you looking at me?”

“Did you make her cry?” Milia asked.

“Of course not Milia. Do I look someone that can break a girl’s heart?”

“No, but your face and dimples can swipe a girl off her feet Sir. Dylan” Milia said.

“Why’re you calling me Sir. Dylan”

“Huh?”

“My Parents aren’t at home today, so you should just call me by name, we agreed to that before, remember?”

“Yeah, but your Parents might have me fired if they find out I’m addressing you by your name”.

“I should be the one addressing you as Ma. Milia, not the other way round” Dylan said and Milia laughs.

“Are you trying to say I’m old?” She asked smiling.

“You may not be old, but your old enough to be my big sis. I’m still 18, but your already in your late 20’s” Dylan said.

“Seems like you aren’t feeling unwell today. You have all the energy to talk”.

“Yeah. The pains subsided a little bit” Dylan said.

“Don’t you think you should go to the hospital, and verify why your having this countless pains” Milia said.

“I’ll be fine Mila, don’t worry about me” Dylan said, picking up a medical book.

“Your witchy fiancee isn’t coming today”

“Well I hope she dies” Dylan muttered.

“That’s too cruel Dylan”

“She’s like a tiny bone glued to my teeth and no matter what I do I can’t get rid of it”

“But she loves you Dylan”

“I rather go nake and dance on the street, than fall in love with her”.

“Your crazy” Milia said laughing, Dylan smiles.

“Milia, Can you please make me my favorite pineapple juice?”.

“You don’t have to add the word please, I’ll be back” Milia said. She roughed his hair before leaving the room.

Dylan sighs and his mind went to Stacey.

“I hope she’s ok. Maybe I shouldn’t have tell her about it, but is for the best, Angelo will never love her”.

He shakes the thought off his head.

“I should concentrate more on the exam. I have to get into med school inorder to fulfill Desmond’s dream. Thank God my brain doesn’t hurt anymore” Dylan said and continues reading.

RESTAURANT***

There wasn’t anyone customers coming inside the restaurant to eat, so Carding used the free time he has to create a song.

“What’re you doing?” Ashely asked taking the note book from him.

“Give it back Ashely” Carding said trying to take it from her, but Ashely dodged it.

“Lemme just take a look” Ashely said, and Carding sighs, letting her have a look at the song he was writing.

“Wow, the lyrics are so darn good. Do you want to become a singer?”.

“Yes. Just give it back Ashely”.

“I can help you” She said and Carding looks at her.

“How?”

“There’s an agency I will auditioning for, next week”.

“You want to be a singer too?”.

“A rapper actually. How about we audition together as a team for the audition? It’ll be nice if a singer and a rapper merged together, right?” Ashely asked smiling.

“About that, I’ll tell Paige about it first” Carding said.

“Who’s Paige?” She asked.

“My beautiful girlfriend” Carding said smiling.

“Oh, her name is Paige?”.

“Yes”

“But is necessary for you to tell her? We’re just teaming up for the audition and nothing else, must you tell her?” Ashely said, not showing how angry she was.

“Paige and I tell each other everything”.

“That’s lame, you both aren’t married yet” Ashely said.

“It doesn’t matter, We still tell each other everything, I have talk to her about it first”.

“And what if she disagrees, are you just going to allow her spoil your dreams for you”.

Carding smiles.

“Paige isn’t that way. She also wants me to succeed in my singing career. And teaming up with you, won’t be a problem, cuz she trust me, I just want to let her know about it first” Carding said.

Ashely sighs and fakes a smile.

“Alright then, talk to her about it, so we can create a song together”

“Sure” Carding said smiling.

*Can he stop smiling, his smile is making me love him the more* Ashely said inwardly.

A customer enters the restaurant and Carding quickly went to him, and the way he smile and talked to the customer, Ashely couldn’t help but drool over him.

“Are you going home? Let’s walk home together” Ashely said.

Carding was about turning her down, when Paige showed up.

“Carding!” She screams excitedly, rushing to hug him, Carding also hugged her back too.

Ashely looks at Paige and Scoffs.

“What’re you doing here Paige?” He said caressing her face and Paige smiles.

“I figured out you might be done working, so I decided to drop by, so we can walk home together”.

“Aww that’s so sweet of my baby” Carding said playing with her cheeks and Paige laugh.

Ashely intentionally cleared her throat.

“Who’s she Carding?” Paige asked holding Carding’s hand.

“Her name is Ashely, we work together” Carding said.

“Hi. I’m Paige, Carding’s girlfriend” Paige said with a sincere smile.

Ashely looks at her and fakes a smile.

“We will be going ahead now Ashely. See you at work tomorrow” Carding said.

Ashely only nods.

Carding leaves with Paige, holding her hand.

“I’ve something to tell you when we get home”

Ashely could hear Carding say, as he walks with Paige.

“That’s his girlfriend?” Ashely muttered.

She glared at Paige, before taking the other part of the road.

******

STACEY’S APARTMENT***

“Stacey! Open the door, what’s going on?” Stacey mom asked from the door worriedly.

Stacey came back home crying and she has locked herself inside her room, crying loudly.

“What happened to you Stacey? Come out from your room and tell me why you crying. Stacey!” Her Mom calls hitting the door.

“Just leave me alone mom!!. I’m going to kill myself if you keep pestering me to open the door!!!” Stacey yells crying.

“Cry all you want then” Her Mom said and leaves the door.

Dylan’s words about Angelo loving Sabrina and being her helper kept echoing in her ears and it made her cry the more.

“Why her? Why Sabrina!!!!” She yells crying painful.

She got a call from Sabrina, but she ignores it.

“Is all your fault Sabrina. Is all your fault why Angelo can’t love me. You took him from you, and I’m going to make you pay” Stacey said with so much anger, as tears keeps falling down her eyes like rain.

She took her phone, she search for Sabrina’s stepdad number and without thinking she called him.

He picked after so many rings.

“Who’s this?” He asked.

“Who I’m doesn’t matter. Do you know what your so called daughter have being doing recently?”.

“You mean Sabrina?”

“Yes Sabrina. She’s being sleeping with all the guys in our school, right now she’s pregnant and looking for a way to get rid of the innocent baby in her womb”.

“What!! Sabrina is pregnant!!!”

“Yes she’s is. Don’t you think she needs to be taught a lesson for what she did”.

“Sabrina is so going to get it from me, I’m on my way back to Chicago”.

Stacey smiles devilishly and ends the call.

“You will be out of this world every soon Sabrina. Don’t pin the blame on me, the blame is on you for trying to steal what’s mine. Once your gone, I’ll have Angelo to myself” Stacey said with no emotions in her eyes.

******

SABRINA’S HOUSE***

“Aren’t you going to sleep? You keep calling Stacey over and over again” Seth said.

“I’m just worried about her. She usually pick my calls and now that she’s not, is making me worry”.

“Stacey is fine big sis. Just get some sleep, you have been working the entire day”.

“I’ll be back Seth. I’ll just check up on her” Sabrina said.

She quickly rush to the door and her eyes widened when she saw her stepdad.

“D… Dad” Sabrina stuttered and Jackson landed a slap on her face, making her bleed from her mouth instantly.

Seth got scared on seeing his dad.

Sabrina was trying to recover from the slap when Jackson landed another slap on her face, choking her neck.

“You wrenched girl. How dare you get pregnant!!!!!” Jackson yells at her.

“What’re you talking about? I’m not pregnant” Sabrina managed to speak.

“Stop lying!!!” Jackson shouted and threw her away like a stick.

Sabrina flew and landed on the wall with great force.

She winces in pain as she vomits blood from her mouth.

Jackson raised her up with her hair and Sabrina screams in pain, crying already.

“Did you possibly think I won’t found out about your movement, you shameless whore!!” He yells punching her so hard in the stomach.

“Dad, please stop hurting big sis” Seth said crying, seeing his sister all bloody.

“I’m not pregnant” Sabrina said crying.

“Stop talking!!!”

Jackson punch her severally on the tommy and face, and Sabrina couldn’t help but cry.

“I’m not pregnant, I haven’t slept with any guy before, please believe” Sabrina said crying.

Her face were filled with bruises and it was bleeding so much.

Her blood were dropping like water from a faucet.

“I have always hated you Sabrina, and now you have given more reason to wipe you out of this earth!!” He screams, and designed her face with punches again.

“I’m not pregnant” Sabrina cries weakly as she could feel life draining out of her.

“You liar!!!” Jackson shouted and smashed the flower vase on her head.

And she completely lost consciousness, bleeding all over.

“Big sis!!!” Seth screams out crying.
