Naira Marley Shares His Final Conversation with Late MohBad
In a recent and deeply saddening development, the renowned singer Azeez Adeshina Fashola, widely recognized as Naira Marley, has shared a poignant video capturing his final conversation with his former record label artist, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, known as Mohbad.
Tragically, Mohbad passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day.
There have been allegations against Naira Marley and certain members of Marlian Records, including Sam Larry, accusing them of contributing to Mohbad’s distress. Nevertheless, Naira Marley took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to defend himself against any allegations of wrongdoing.
In a video shared by Reno Omokri, a former presidential media aide, Naira Marley can be heard conversing with Mohbad in Yoruba. The conversation took a somber turn as Naira Marley expressed his concern for Mohbad’s well-being, referring to previous instances when Mohbad had expressed suicidal thoughts.
In response, the late Mohbad simply stated, “I don’t even know how to explain it to you right now.” Naira Marley persisted, reminding Mohbad of his past statements about feeling suicidal. This emotional exchange left a profound impact on many.
Before his untimely passing, Mohbad had taken to Instagram Live to voice his distress. He recounted his previous arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), alongside Zinoleesky and others. Mohbad claimed that following his release, he faced threats from members of the Marlian music group, further exacerbating his anguish.
In his own words, “I’m just trying to ask, am I a bad boy? I don’t really mean it from my mind. So I don’t know, these people have been hating on me. They have been doing bad things to me, I went mad because of this issue, now they are trying to kill me.”
The circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s tragic passing remain unclear, and Naira Marley has alluded to the possibility of revealing more information in due course.
