EPISODE 9

★★ A Week Later ★★

Ariel entered the kitchen in search of Sally but found a bunch of maids there instead. They whispered amongst themselves but Ariel couldn't care less. Obviously, they all hated her but she was fine with that now, she'd gotten used to it.

Ariel was getting better everyday. This past week has been amazing because Miguel hasn't been around to torture her. She was recovering speedily and getting more beautiful.

Sally entered the kitchen and met her by the refrigerator. She frowned inwardly before approaching her.

“What are you doing here?” Sally asked, trying hard not to show how displeased she was to see Ariel. Sally had gotten even more jealous of Ariel because Xander would always shower her with all his time and attention. Ariel and Xander have become tight friends and maybe even more than that.

“Sally, what else would I be doing here if not to see you?” Ariel rolled her eyes.

“Well I'm busy and I don't have time to talk” Sally replied, searching the cupboards for something.

“Really? What's the matter Sally? You've been acting cold and indifferent towards me lately. Did I do anything wrong?” Ariel corked her head to the side and asked.

“You didn't do anything wrong Ariel now please let me do my work in peace” Sally scoffed and grabbed a pot. She placed it on the cooker and poured in some water, she started chopping onions immediately, ignoring Ariel's presence.

Ariel groaned before walking out of the kitchen in anger.

“What's the matter with both of them? I thought they were best friends?” One of the maids whispered to her friend but Sally heard them clearly.

“Don't you know that Sally has a crush on Xander? Now he's spending more time with the mistress and Sally is jealous” the other maid giggled. Sally turned to both of them and gave them hard glares.

“Don't you two have anything better to do with your time than to sit there and gossip!? Get to work!” She lashed out at them and they scurried off to different directions.

Ariel sat in her room wondering what she had done wrong to Sally to deserve the cold treatment from her when Xander entered.

He bought her a gift which he flashed in front of her as soon as he entered. He has been buying her gifts for the past one week. His aim was to make her as happy as possible before Miguel comes back and starts torturing her again.

“Another gift?” Ariel smirked.

“Yes, and you're going to love this one” Xander replied, pulling out the small box. He opened it and brought out the silver necklace with a diamond as the gem. Ariel gasped at the sight of the beautiful jewelry.

“It's so lovely” she cooed and bit her lip.

“But not as beautiful as you..” he said and she blushed.

“Let me put it on for you” he said and she turned her back. She got her hair out of the way and allowed him to put the necklace on her. Xander traced his hand from her neck and down her back, making her shudder a bit.

“It looks, good on you” he smiled, and she turned to face him again.

“Thank you so much Xander” Ariel said and he nodded.

“Do you still feel any pains?” He asked.

“Just a little bit on my back but it'll be fine” she replied.

“Good, I'm happy about that”

“But what's the use Xander? Master will be back soon and continue inflicting more wounds on me. I fear his return” Ariel sighed.

“You have no idea how scared I am for you Ariel. I wish there was a way I could save you from him. All he does is torture you and bring you pain in the name of s3x” Xander held her cheek and caressed it.

“Just once, I'd love to experience intimacy, but it seems it'll never happen with master” she said and he looked shocked.

“You've never experienced intimacy?” He asked and she shook her head.

“Like, kissed.. or cuddle.. or..” Ariel continued shaking her head sadly.

“Wow, I had no idea” he sighed.

“Have you?” She asked.

“Once in a while” he answered and they laughed.

They maintained eye contact for a while and Ariel couldn't fathom what was happening to her, she was suddenly shy and her heart was racing inside her chest.

“Maybe.. if you want I could show you what intimacy feels like” he said and she gulped.

“O..okay” she agreed reluctantly.

Xander caressed her cheek again, staring into her eyes. He moved closer to her and grabbed both her cheeks.

“You're really beautiful” he whispered, moving his lips closer to hers, she felt his breath on her and shivered.

“Close your eyes” he said and she obeyed. Xander immediately placed his lips on hers, taking in her soft, pink lower lip. He sucked gently on it and broke the kiss. Then he did it again, and again.. Finally, he held her waist with one of his hands and pulled her in closer. He kissed her again, this time allowing his tongue to slide into her mouth.

Ariel was feeling intense throughout, she felt a rush of feelings she had never felt before. She actually felt her private parts tingling. She found herself wrapping her arms around Xander, parting her lips and welcoming his tongue into her mouth. She followed his lead, and they shared a very hot and sexy kiss.

“Wow..” Ariel breathed out as they broke the kiss.

“My first kiss” she mumbled.

“I'm honoured” Xander chuckled.

“Thank you” she lowered her head, feeling very shy.

Xander stared at her for a while before standing up.

“I should get going.. take care of yourself” he kissed her forehead and left. Ariel collapsed into her bed, hugging her pillow and imagining the kiss over and over again.

Xander met Sally outside with tears in her eyes. She had followed him here when she saw him earlier and watching them kiss was the most heartbreaking thing she'd ever experienced.

“Sally? Are you crying? What happened?” Xander asked.

Sally quickly wiped her tears and smiled.

“Oh no, I'm not crying, I just have something in my eyes.. something fell into my eyes, maybe dust” she sniffed, still wiping her eyes.

“Oh. Are you sure you're fine? You know you can talk to me. We are friends now” he smiled warmly at her and she shook her head.

“Don't worry about me master Xander, I'm fine. Like I said, it's just dust” she answered, bowed and hurried off. Xander shrugged and left to attend to his duties.

Sally entered her room and plunged herself into her bed. She screamed into her pillow and then the tears she had been holding back fell like rivers down her cheeks.

“How could you do this to me Xander? Knowing how much I love you” she sniffed and instantly developed more hatred Ariel.

… ( New York ) …

Laura entered the hotel room and met Miguel dressing up. They were supposed to attack Ajay today but that wasn't going to happen anymore.

“Miguel, Ajay has surrendered” Laura announced. Miguel was shocked and stared at her with a blunt expression.

“What? How? Why?” He was furious.

“He said he didn't want any trouble and has handed over the deal to us. I have spoken with Bruno and he confirmed it” she answered but it was all a lie.

Laura had achieved what she came for, She spent the last one week getting closer to Miguel and turning him back to the way he used to be.

Miguel had completely forgotten about Ariel and focused on Laura. That made her happy.

“Calm down. I know it's too sudden but it's the truth” she added.

“I'm going to kill that fool Ajay!” Miguel screamed and was about to dash out but Laura stopped him.

“Let me go, how dare he waste my time!? Does he have any idea who I am?!” He roared.

“Stop it Miguel. Remember that he has surrendered, that means if you harm him, the entire mafia will come after you for treason and you can't handle that” Laura pointed out and he groaned. He grabbed a vase and tossed it across the room in fury.

“Calm down baby” Laura held his arm and hugged him lightly. Miguel calmed down and pushed her off..

“Call Xander to send in a private jet. We're living for Mexico tonight” he ordered and entered the bathroom after tossing his coat on the bed.

Laura grinned. She loved the effect she was having on Miguel. All she wanted was to wrap him around her fingers and she was getting there.

“I can't wait to go back to Mexico, and make you get rid of that mistress of yours – for good” she grinned and picked up her phone.
