The NAACP, or the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is a civil rights organization in the United States that was founded in 1909 as an inter-racial effort to improve justice for African Americans by a group of individuals of integrity.

 

According to their purpose for the twenty-first century, the organization’s goal is “to ensure that all people have the same political, educational, social, and economic rights as others and to eliminate race-based discrimination.”

Qualification Requirements For The NAACP Scholarship Program

 

Candidates must be black students or students of color in order to be considered.
Candidates must identify as female in order to be considered.
Candidates must be graduating high school seniors in order to be considered.
Candidates must be enrolled in a 4-year accredited, tax-exempt academic institution in order to be considered.
Candidates must be active participants in an ACT-SO program at the time of application.

In order to be considered, Write Her Future scholarship applicants must submit their written applications and video prompt submissions through the Inspire Initiatives scholarship portal.
If they are awarded the scholarship, candidates must be available to travel from July 14–17, 2022.

 

Additional Information That Should Be Taken Into Consideration

It is the Inspire Initiatives Committee, a group of NAACP leaders who give their time to read applications, review transcripts, and choose recipients for approval, who evaluate and score the applications and provide grades.

 

After being selected, you will be contacted by email or through the Inspire Initiatives scholarship site. The selecting committee’s decisions are final and cannot be challenged in any way.
