‘Well now you’re blushing’..Edward joked as he gave me his coat to wear over my stained dress..
‘Thank you,not all men would do what you did a while ago’..I said in an icy tone and the moment he smiled at me I felt my heart skip a beat..
I haven’t felt that skip in a long time..
‘I respect women a lot princess’..He said and I gulped hard..
We both stared at each other for a while but then after we quickly broke away from the enchanting trance…
‘Do you uhh…do you want to dance with me??’..He asked and extended his hands over which made me smile..
‘Yes I would like that very much’..
King Roland’s POV ♥️
’The princess of Astreya declined your invitation to your ball your highness’..The Royal messenger announced and I frowned deeply..
What insolence?!..
Other princesses would jump at the opportunity to be personally invited to my ball and she declined me without a second thought??..
‘Tell me,what does she look like??’..I asked..
‘Well…Well I didn’t see her face your highness,her personal gaurd just told me she declined’..He replied and I dismissed him with the wave of my hand..
‘Your highness if this may be of any suggestion I implore you to make peace with your cousin’..Marcel chipped in and I frowned..
‘Well don’t you think I have?? I have sent emisaries time after time but they come back with burnt arms or one eye…I have never imagined Gregory to be this angry’..
‘Well instead of sending emisaries I suggest you go to him yourself,ever since he left your highness you haven’t been yourself’..He said and i sighed deeply..
‘Nothing has ever been the same since Alondria died,get my carriage ready,we leave for Lofthold’..

I laughed at the top of my voice as Edward danced around the children of the village and the next thing I knew he drew me into their circle..
‘What are you doing??’..I chuckled as I twirled me around..
‘Dance!! Dance!! Dance!’..The children chanted and we both stared tap dancing to the villagers music..
‘Where did you learn to tap dance like that??’..He asked..
‘Well I was once an exotic dancing slave in a faraway land so anytime the circus dancers would come I would join them in practice’..I replied..
‘Kiss her!! Kiss her!! Kiss her!!’..The villagers chanted this time and I gulped loudly..
‘May I??’..He asked as he tilted my chin up to his face..
‘I’m a royal and you’re not’..I whispered and me smiled..
‘No one really cares around here’..He whispered back and the next thing I knew his lips covered mine..
