“Don't you think you were too harsh on those girls?” Zack asked, climbing into my bed as I ravaged my closet for something to wear to work.

“I don't really care” I scoffed.

“Who are they anyway?” He asked again.

“My cousins. They came here with their father last night” I answered, raising a short white gown.

“That's nice” he said, referring to the gown.

“I'll be in the shower. Don't go through my stuff” I said and entered the bathroom. I'm feeling kinda hot right now, I need to f*ck but I don't want to collapse again.

I closed my eyes and tried controlling my urges as the warm water from the shower penetrated my skin. I was shocked to feel two strong arm enveloping me from behind.. of course it was Zack.

He leaned on me and touched sensitive parts of my body, turning me on. I wanted to refuse, push him off and have my bath but I'd lost my mind at this point.

He's so good with his hands, touching me and driving me insane.

I remained still as he worked his magic, he kissed my nape and bit my earlobes, sighing at the same time. I shuddered and bit my lip.

“Zack, I..” I tried to talk, but he was faster than me. He claimed my lips in his after swiftly turning me around to face him. I kissed him back passionately, the entire bathroom wreaked of how h0rny we were.

He was already n@ked in the shower. So he didn't waste much time in getting down on me. We had very hot s3x in the shower that morning, but I made sure it didn't last as long as the last time. That was too intense.

“I'll be paying you your money tomorrow” I said, it's not up to a week but he's doing such a great job of handling my high libido.

“You can go now. I'd like to speak to my uncle before going to work. I'll see you in the evening” I said, as he helped me zip up my gown.

He nodded and I picked up my handbag and we left for the living room.

He went back home while I went to sit with my uncle. My cousins were in their room, I could hear their loud giggling from here.

“All set for work huh?” He asked, turning the page of the newspaper he was reading.

“Yes. And I would like to have a word with you. Concerning getting a job” I said and he looked up at me.

“Getting a job?” He queried.

“What? Do you expect me to feed you all the days of your life?” I rolled my eyes at him.

“Look uncle Raymond, you and your kids cannot continue living off my money. I don't mind giving you a job at the office so that you can start earning money for yourselves. It's a lot from my side if you ask me” I said, picking my finger nails.

He looked like me like I just uttered an abomination. I don't understand the deal with him, what does he expect from me? A nice, loving girl who would do anything for his family?

Too bad, I'm far from nice and loving, I don't give a f*ck about anyone or anything. I'm going to do what I want to do, it's my money.

“You expect me to get a job at this age? Why can't we just stay with you?” He asked. I turned my ear blinked rapidly. Did I just hear right?

“Stay with me? Is that some sort of joke? Y'all are not staying here more than a month! Besides, I have men older than you working for me. You better choose between being lazy and being homeless” I snapped.

“Why are you so rude Amelia?” He asked and I chuckled.

“Because niceness never got no b*tch nowhere” I returned.

“Are you taking the job offer or not?” I asked.

“You know, as the brother to your father, I have a share in his money. I shouldn't have to bow to a little girl like you who I'm not even sure is my brother's daughter” he scoffed.

Oh no he didn't!!

“Share? Did you just say share?” I asked and burst out laughing.

“Let me break it down for you uncle Raymond, your sorry ass has nothing to do with my wealth. It's all mine, get that in your brain. And if you came down to New York just to have a share from it, then you better go back to the hole you crawled out of because I'm not known to share” I said, getting to my feet. He was staring at me in utter shock.

“I can see you want to remain poor. That's your choice. Remember, you have only one month to spend here.. good day” I said and walked out on him. I left for work, wondering what he meant by “I'm not even sure he's my brother's daughter”

Like, what the hell is that supposed to mean. I don't even want to think about it. That man just ruined my morning. Ugh!!

“Good morning ma'am. I'm done with all the work from yesterday and sorted out the mails” Noah informed, standing in front of my desk. I nodded and turned on my computer.

“Are you okay? You look upset” he said. I like how he always notices my moods.

“I'm alright. Just family issues” I answered.

“Family? Thought you lived alone?”

“I do.. um.. it's complicated. Don't worry about it. Just go back to work” I said. For some reason, my computer didn't want to turn on. I groaned.

“Is there a problem?” Noah asked.

“This freaking desktop won't come on” I complained. I'm already pissed, the last thing I want is more things to get me annoyed.

“Let me check it out” he offered and walked over to where I was sitting. He bent down to look under the desk.

“Oh.. I see the problem. It's not even plugged in. I guess the janitor must have unplugged it while cleaning. I saw him in here before you came in” he said, fiddling with some wires. I lowered my head to see what he was doing.

He raised his head unexpectedly, and his lips touched mine for a split second. I gasped, I honestly felt electricity shoot through my body when our lips touched.

I think he felt it too.

We froze at the spot, staring at each other. Weirdly, I wanted to do it again. I wish he would kiss me. I won't push him away, I really want to kiss him now, after what I felt.

“Um.. I'm sorry about that” he got to his feet, ruining the moment. I caught him licking his lips as he moved away from me.

I grinned.

“That's okay” I answered.

“You can try it now, it'll turn on” he said. I nodded and pushed the power button. The computer came on and I thanked him before he left to continue his work.

Such a cutie..

Don't get me wrong, I like Noah, no matter how much I try to deny it. I've liked him since I set eyes on him. As for Zack, I'm just sexually attracted to him, that's all. Don't get it mixed up.

“Your majesty, you sent for me” I bowed in front of the queen mother but she turned to look at me with a hard glare.

“Where is my son? You said he went for official business, it's been days!” She growled at me.

I immediately started sweating, I was so nervous. I hoped that the king would be back by now, which is why I didn't tell his mother the truth. I wonder how difficult it is to get a woman.

Now I have to face the queen mother's wrath.

“Cullen! I asked you a question” she yelled. I jerked.

“Your majesty, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to lie, I thought he'd be back by now” I said, biting my lip.

“You.. LIED!!?” her eyes got fiery and I knew she was very angry. I swallowed the lump in my throat and got on my knees.

“The king made me do it. He left for the human world to get a woman that he likes. I am really sorry” I said, pleading with her.

“He did WHAT!!?” she yelled again, startling me. Her voice carries so much power, if you're not strong enough, it could blow you away. Her eyes got very fiery and she was ready to shoot them at me.

“Please your majesty, don't punish me. I tried talking to him, but he gave me an order. You know I cannot refuse a king's order” I said. I'm the victim here.

“That stupid son of mine” she seemed to calm down and I was relieved.

“What did he see in this human? There are so many beautiful maidens here in Fye that he could have chosen, so why a human? Cullen!” She called.

“Yes my queen”

“I want you to tell him! Tell him to come home, immediately. I want him back here as soon as possible. Or else! I'm going to fetch him myself” she growled.

“Yes your majesty. I will inform him immediately” I said.

“I also want you to inform him that I will begin arrangements for his wedding to Fae, my lady royal. Since he has no taste in women, I will make the choice for him” she said.

Fae, was standing by the door and couldn't help but smile at the mention of her marrying the king. I am also in support, humans are dangerous. We shouldn't be getting involved with them at all. Next thing you know, they'll be here trying to access our resources and dissecting us.

“Yes my queen. Right away” I said. I got up and took a bow before leaving her chamber.

The king is just as stubborn as his mother, he probably won't listen but I have to tell him.

I entered my chamber and sat down. I closed my eyes and tried connecting with him, we have that kind of bond.

A power like this could only be achieved by two people with great bonding. Maybe of friendship, or family or even a lover from a previous life. You both could communicate with your minds.

King Xakery kept blocking me when I tried to connect with him.

I kept on trying until I finally reached him.

“What do you want Cullen? Leave me alone” he said.

“You better come back here before your mother comes for you. She's not happy” I answered.

“I can't come back unless I bring Amelia with me. I haven't achieved that” he said. I groaned.

“She's planning your wedding with Fae.. you have to come back please. Else, she'll come there and you know what that means” I was practically pleading.

“Why would mom do that!? Fine, I'll try and get through to her later. Bye” he said.

“Wait..” I tried to talk again but he already blocked me so I gave up. I opened my eyes and sighed.

Now I have a headache, it always happens after connections like this.

I hope he gets through to his mother because I hate being in the middle of their arguments, they end up taking their frustrations out on poor me.

I don't even know what king Xakery sees in that rude Amelia. Fae is far better for him, she'd make an excellent queen since she's been serving the queen mother all her life.
