🌼 King Xakery/ Zack 🌼

We arrived at the house, or should I say the mansion and the woman stopped, shaking in fear. We were not too close because of the many guards at the gate.

“Is this the place?” I ask and she nodded slowly.

“Alright, you can go to your home. I'll take it from here” I said and she immediately ran off without looking back. She must be so scared of whoever this man is.

I walked closer to the house and the guards ran to me.

“Who are you? What do you want here?” They asked. I scoffed and continued walking. They brought out their guns and pointed them at me.

“Stop” I commanded and they all froze at the spot, unable to move a muscle. They will only be able to move on my command. I chuckled and entered the house easily. I guess the boss is not at home.

I passed through the many staircases before finally arriving at the last floor, which was where my sixth sense told me she would be. I peered through all the rooms and finally found her sleeping in one of them.

“Linda” I called, moving closer to her. She turned on the bed and opened her eyes. She gasped and jumped on me.

“Zack!!” She hugged me tight and cried her eyes out.

Poor kid, she has bruises everywhere, she must have been severally tortured. Whoever did this, doesn't deserve any mercy. Taking advantage of a 21 year old like this!

“My hero” she smiled at me, breaking the hug.

“But.. how did you get here? How did you get past all the guards?” She asked, wiping her tears.

“I got your message before it got to Amelia so I came. Don't bother about the guards, they can't harm us” I assured and she cried again.

“But who did this to you?” I asked.

Her countenance changed, she got really angry and her cries turned to a dangerous snare.

“The evil man I call my father did this to me” she sniffed.

“That monster sold me to a mafia boss just because of power” she added.

Wait, her father did this to her? What kind of ingrate would do this to his own daughter? His blood??

This is the height of wickedness.

“What stupid power? Why did he sell you?”

“Because he wants to own everything Amelia owns. Zack, we have to go before they complete their task! My father is planning evil against Amelia” she stated, panting. She jumped off the bed and made her way outside and I followed immediately.

Linda was stunned to see the guards standing at a place outside. She questioned me but I claimed that I didn't know what was going on.

We took a taxi back to Amelia's house. Amelia was with Audrey, I know it's Audrey because I saw them in my mirror back in Fye. They used to be best friends. Lisa was with them, talking. They stopped immediately we came in.

“Linda!!” Lisa called and ran to hug Linda. They cried over each other, hugging tightly.

“Where have you been? Dad said he sent you to be a maid!” Lisa cried.

Amelia and Audrey stood up and came to where we were standing.

Amelia gave me a weird look before turning to Linda. I guess she wasn't expecting to see me.

“What happened to you Linda? Why do you have so many bruises?” Amelia questioned.

“That wicked man sold me Amy!! Your life is in danger!!” Linda yelled out, breaking down while Lisa consoled her.

“Zack, what is she saying?” Amelia asked me.

“Her father sold her to the mafia, in exchange to help him possess all you own” I explained and they gasped.

“What!?” Audrey exclaimed.

“How did my uncle even get involved with the mafia?” Amelia asked, confused and shocked.

“Hey, what's all the commotion down here?” Raymond asked, coming down from the stairs. All eyes turned to him. His eyes widened in shock when he saw Linda on the floor, crying.

“Linda?? What the hell are you doing here? How did you get here?!” He asked, rushing down to meet us.

“You're a devil!” Linda wanted to jump on him but I held her back and tried to calm her down.

“Uncle Raymond? Care to explain?” Amelia glared at him.

“I don't know what you're talking about” Raymond said.

“How could you sell your own daughter!! Why did you do this to my sister!!?” Lisa screamed, feeling more hurt than the victim.

“I.. I..”

“I've always known you had an ulterior motive! You want my wealth right? You have been exposed! You are leaving my house immediately. Infact, I'm going to have my men mess you up and throw you in jail! Along with your accomplice!!” Amelia yelled at him in anger but to our surprise, Raymond burst out laughing.

We all exchanged glances, wondering what was going on with him.

“Throw me out of my house?” Raymond asked.

“What's that supposed to mean?” Amelia asked.

“Oh my pretty niece. You're too late now, because everything already belongs to me” Raymond laughed again.

“No..” Linda muttered, still in my arms.

“What are you yapping about?”

“Remember Hugh? Your new employee? He gave you papers to sign and you signed over everything you own to me. The company, the money, this house all belongs to me” he grinned.

Oh my goodness!!

I can't believe how fast things have gone wrong.

Amelia stared at him in disbelief, I couldn't do much, I wouldn't want to expose my powers, it'll definitely mean war between my kingdom and the human world. My mother gave me stern warnings about it.

“No.. no you're bluffing”Amelia said.

“If only I were..” Raymond answered, laughing again.

🌼 Noah Smith 🌼

I was serious when I said I would be following Hugh to know what he's hiding. I have been following him in a taxi since he left work and he's been in various locations, a bar, a strip club, a supermarket and a pharmacy. There's another man with him, but I wasn't able to see his face since he's wearing shades and a hoodie.

Honestly, I felt bad when Amelia left me hanging, after confessing my love for her, but I don't mind risking my life to find out the true motive of the person I suspect to be after her.

Their car finally stopped in front of what looked like an old shop. I stopped a reasonable distance away from them and then paid the driver. I stealthily walked over to them, making sure I wasn't spotted.

The place was dry and quiet, two men were guarding the front. As soon as Hugh and the other man walked in, the two men entered with them as well. I ran over to the front door and tried to look for a way in.

The only place that was open was a small window at the top. I had to use the tree there to climb. I got to the top and finally got a clear view of the inside through the window.

The place was filled with boxes and looked very dusty.

“Here you go sir, the papers” Hugh said, handing the strange man some documents. I immediately brought out my phone to record, I need evidence in case of anything.

“Very good Hugh” the man chuckled.

“Raymond is a big fool! I can't believe he thought would just hand over everything to him. He forgot the first rule in business, trust no one” he laughed and Hugh nodded.

“Now, I have Amelia's fortune and Raymond's daughter to f*ck as I want” he added and I gasped.

Gracious!!!

What?!

I can't comprehend!! Those papers that Hugh gave Amelia to sign were her property papers??

Oh no! This isn't good!!

“But sir, we could have just done this in the first place, what was the need to involve Raymond?” Hugh asked.

“Well Hugh, I never had eyes on Amelia's fortune. It was when Raymond came to me, that I picked interest and decided to play him for the fool he is” the man laughed and finally took off his hoodie and shades. His face came to full view but I still don't know him.

“I see. It's alright then. I'll take these papers to the lawyer then we will pay Amelia a visit” Hugh grinned.

“Definitely” the man answered.

Immediately, Hugh turned to the window and spotted me.

“Sh*t” I cursed and started climbing down as fast as I could. I got down and started running. I heard them running after me and suddenly started shooting at me.

One of the bullets hit my back and I fell down groaning.

I was determined to get to Amelia and tell her everything so I stood up and ran with the wound. As fast as I could, I ran.

I boarded another taxi to Amelia's house, enduring the pain even though it was killing me. I would have gone to the police but there was no time. This information will probably help Amelia to know her next step before reporting to the police.

I stood there in shock, with tears rolling down my eyes. What has my uncle done? Why did he do this to me?

I know he has never liked me but he has gone too far!! I can't take this!

“Amelia, you have only till tomorrow morning to leave my house” he said, excited.

“You can't do this dad!” Lisa yelled.

“He's not our father, he's a madman” an angry Linda said, glaring.

“Linda, I know you're angry with me, but I did this for all of us. Now we have all the money we have been wishing for” my uncle said, trying to cheer up his daughters but they weren't going to give in. I was surprised that they stood by me, despite being rude to them.

Just then, the doors burst open and Noah entered, he was sweating and panting. He ran to me and handed me his phone.

“Watch.. all of you, just watch” his breathing was heavy and fast. I looked at the phone and played the video on the screen.

🎥”Raymond is a big fool! I can't believe he thought would just hand over everything to him. He forgot the first rule in business, trust no one”

“Now, I have Amelia's fortune and Raymond's daughter to f*ck as I want”🎥

We finished watching the video and my jaw dropped. Never have I received such shock in my life. A total stranger.. has everything, everything!!!

“Noo! How can Peter do this to me?” My uncle scratched his head in confusion. I was already in tears, with Audrey trying to console me.

“Look what you've done!!” I barked at my uncle who was still shocked.

Just then, Noah fell with a loud thud and that was when we all saw the bullet wound in his back. He must have been shot while getting this video.

“Noah!!” I screamed and rushed to him, lifting him and making him lie on my laps.

Why are all these happening to me!?

“He was shot!! Oh my God!! We need to call the police now!” Audrey said and brought out his phone.

“It's of no use! Even the damn police works for Peter!!” My uncle said, sweating profusely. He ran out of the house to who knows where.

“Is he dead?” Lisa asked as I cuddled Noah to my chest, crying profusely.

“No he can't die.. he shouldn't!!” I yelled.

“Noah, open your eyes, open your eyes please! I promise I will be a good girl, I won't be a bad girl anymore. You have to open your eyes. I've lost my wealth, don't let me lose you too” I cried. Audrey joined me on the floor.

“I've called the ambulance and the police, they're on their way” she informed, crying as well.

“Noah, hang in there, you're going to be fine” I hugged him tight.

I don't even know where to start from. Why are the sudden misfortunes? Is it because I'm arrogant? I will change, I promise I will! Just take this pain away from me Lord!!

“No Amy, we're supposed to be together. Don't do this to me” I heard Zack say. I looked over to where he was standing with Linda, his eyes were glued to me and they showed how sad he was.

How did I hear him when he obviously didn't say anything??

I turned back to Noah and cried more.

“Open your eyes please. Stay alive for me.. you mean a lot to me now, I love you Noah” I said, closing my eyes and hugging him.

I felt something warm inside me, when I opened my eyes, there was a bright light between Noah and I.

I was surprised, so was everyone else.

“What's happening?” Audrey asked as the light got brighter.

“She unlocked her powers” Zack said.
