🌼 Amelia Lewis 🌼

“Whoa” was the first thing that escaped my lips as I set foot on the soil of Fye. I couldn't help but admire how different it was from our world. The houses were built and placed differently, the people looked like us but had slight differences in physique. I also noticed how gloomy everywhere was, as a result of the dark cloud above the beautiful kingdom. I guess this is the plague.

“Welcome to Fye Amelia” Zack said and took my hand again. We walked along a pathway with his entourage until we finally arrived at the magnificent palace.

I've never seen a more detailed and magnificent building.

There were so many guards and maids at the gate and as soon as we started making our way to the gate, they stood in a formation. They bowed in unison and the guards raised their swords in a very beautiful salute. Zack and I walked in hand in hand, I felt like royalty. I later found out that Zack's real name was actually king Xakery.

“Fae, take her to the room, and dress her up. The wedding is tonight” Zack said and I gasped. I turned to look at him and he gave me a nod.

“Tonight? Why so soon?” I asked.

“We've already wasted enough time Amelia, the plague is growing daily. After our wedding, we will start your training process and you'll be able to do the ritual as soon as possible” he explained and I nod slowly.

I can't believe I'm getting married to him tonight. I instantly got goosebumps all over my body. I'm nervous and sad.

“Fae, take her, Cullen come with me” he ordered and a beautiful pale skinned maiden approached me. She bowed in front of me and kept her neck bent.

“Come with me my lady” she said and I followed behind her as she climbed the beautiful array of stairs. This castle is just wonderful.

We arrived in front of a tall wooden door with carvings on it. The door was twenty times my height, Imagine that! The door pushed open on it's own, revealing a very beautiful room. The king sized bed was situated at the right corner, with a tall cupboard beside it. It had a big walk in closet, dim blue lights and the tall glass windows just made the whole room pop.

“This will be your room from now on my lady. Please sit down so I can get you ready for the wedding” Fae said and clapped her hands twice. Three maids rushed in as if they have been waiting for that. One was holding the most gorgeous ball gown I've ever seen, the second one was holding a tray of gold jewelry and the other was carrying make up.

Fae helped me take off the dress I was wearing and put on the ball gown. I looked at my reflection in the large mirror and it was stunning. It had diamond on it, very beautiful gown.

“Fae?” I called as she started applying my make up.

“Yes my lady” she answered.

“Tell me about Fye, before the plague” I requested.

“Well, Fye is the most beautiful place you'll ever see. The people are not only nice, they're accommodating and happy. There are different kinds of creatures, the highest is the king and queen, then the guardians or protectors who happen to be extremely powerful.

There are the fairies and pixies, mermaids and witches. I'm actually a pixie but I was chosen from birth to serve the queen so all my powers were taken from me” she explained very calmly with a smile on her face. I nod as she continues the make up.

“Tell me Fae, what's ahead for me? This ritual? Do you know what happens?” I asked, nervous about this entire thing. I'm so unhappy that I didn't end up with Noah.. I'm marrying another man.

“I don't know my lady. I really haven't witnessed this sort of ritual before. But I heard from the royal sorceress that it could be dangerous. But I don't think you should worry, you're the chosen one, you were born for this” she smiled widely at me and pointed to the maid with the gold jewelry.

“Come here” she said and the maid rushed over.

She picked out two gold necklaces with different intricate designs and presented them to me. They were lovely and shiny. Back in the human world, it would cost billions.

“Pick one my lady” she smiled. I picked the one that looked less heavy. I've never liked heavy jewelry. She put it around my neck and also put on the earrings. She let me admire myself in the mirror and I looked amazing I must admit.

“So what now?” I asked.

“You'll have to wait here my lady. I will be back to fetch you as soon as the ceremony begins” she answered and bowed before leaving with the maids. I stood up and walked towards to glass window.

I stared down at the kingdom and sighed. I can't believe that the fate of this magnificent kingdom is on my shoulders. What if I don't succeed? What if I left everything behind in vain? What if I left Noah for nothing?? I'll never be able to get over him.

I miss him so much already. I wish I can see his face again but here I am, about to get married. Why did I have to be the chosen queen?

I bit my lip and sighed heavily. The plague is really dangerous. So many subjects are dying, everywhere is just gloomy. I pity them so much, I hope they get over this phase.

Am hour later, Fae came back into my room with four maids this time around. They all bowed.

“My lady, please come with us. It's time” Fae said. I gulped and walked over to her. She giggled and took both of my hands, gently placing them below my abdomen like those fancy princesses I watch on TV. She used her finger to lift my chin and arranged my hair.

“You have to learn how to walk like a queen. Just take slow and steady steps, with your head held high. A queen is all about pride” she said and I nod. She led the way, I followed behind her while the four maids followed.

My presence was announced before the large doors burst open and I walked in majestically into the large hall. Everyone was standing, struggling to see me. Even the little kids waved at me.

“She's the chosen queen!”

“She's going to save us!”

“We love you!!”

“She's so beautiful”

“Move, I want to see her!”

Several comments I heard from the crowd as I walked to meet Zack at the altar. He was wearing a different royal attire. He looked effortlessly dashing in it, he's a handsome man. That's what attracted me to him in the first place.

I walked up to him, and faced him. Presiding over the wedding was the sorceress from earlier.

Wait a minute..

I'm getting married! I don't have a womb! How will I bear children for my husband? I think I have to tell him about this. I hope that won't jeopardize anything.

“Is everything okay?” He asked, noticing how worried I was.

“Um.. yeah” I answered. I will tell him after the wedding.

“The marriage ceremony is about to begin” the sorceress, Joha said and smiled warmly at me.

I gulped and took a deep breath.

Amelia handed everything over to me, her entire business empire and money. But she left her house for her cousins. I can't explain how happy I am. I have been looking to earn more money for myself, but everything has been handed to me in a platter of gold.

I didn't tell my mother and Isabella the whole truth, I simply told them that Amelia gave me her business to manage for the mean time.

To be honest, I miss her crazily. I can't stop thinking about what is going on wherever she is. Is she already married to Zack? Has she managed to save them all? I wish her best of luck, but I can't get over her.

“Noah!” My mother banged on my door.

“It's open!” I yelled and groaned. I was lying down but I had to sit up when she came in.

“You're not asleep yet?” She asked.

“Even I was asleep, your yelling would have woken me immediately” I scoffed.

“Don't tell me you're still thinking about that girl Amelia? She's gone now and you have to forget about her” she said.

“Common mom. It's not that easy to forget about someone. You should know, I know how many years it took you to get over dad's death” I retorted.

“That's different. I loved him”

“I love Amelia”

“Listen Noah” she said a bit calmer this time and sat beside me.

“You have to let go”

“Don't you think I'm trying? I'm trying” I sigh.

“Just forget about her. I'm your mother, you're my only child and that means I can't lead you astray. I just want the best for you and that prost*tute is not worth it” she said and I glared at her.

“Don't call her that” I warned.

“Whatever. She's not your type. Just look at Isabella, you two have so much in common and you're very compatible. Forget about what she did, forgive her and give her a chance. She's a lovely girl and will make an excellent wife” my mom explained and I shook my head.

“Forget about marriage for now” I said and she frowned.

“And what is that supposed to mean? You know you're my only son and I'm getting older. I need grand kids you know” she said and I sighed.

“You will have grand kids mom just give me time” I groaned.

I wish my mother will understand how I feel about Amelia leaving me. I feel dead inside, I feel like no other woman can take her place.

“Just give Isabella a chance. I'm sure you two will get along” she smiled softly and stood up.

“Now go to bed and free your mind. Everything is going to fine” she caressed my hair and left my room.

“Give Isabella a chance? How? When I can't get Amy off my mind” I said to myself before lying down again. I stared at the ceiling. Tomorrow I will be going to the office, this time around as the boss. I can't wait.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife. King and queen of Fye” Joha announced and the entire hall erupted in a loud applause.

They all bowed to us as a crown was placed on my head.

“All hail the queen!!” Cullen raised his sword and the other guards followed suit.

“All hail the queen!!”

“All hail the queen!!”

“Long live the queen!!”

Everyone chanted as I descended with Zack. We were led to his bedroom. I would spend our wedding night in his room before going to mine.

Zack allowed me to take a bath and change before coming in. I wore one of the silk night dresses that they had prepared for me before hand. Everything here is just gorgeous.

“How is your stay so far?” He asked, sitting on the bed next to me.

“Everything and everyone is beautiful. I love it. I just miss the people back at home” I sighed.

“This is your home now. I'm sorry for taking you away from the people you love” he smiled.

“It's okay”

“Alright. Tomorrow we're going to see my mom, then your training process will begin” he said. I nodded and bit my lip. I think this is the right time to tell him about my womb issues.

“Um Zack?”

“Yes?” He blinked at me.

“I have something to tell you” I was already sweating.

“What is it? You can tell me”

“I know kings want heirs and stuff like that. But I.. I.. I don't think I can.. give you that. I don't have a.. a womb” I finally said it. He smirked.

“I already knew that” he said and I was stunned.

“You.. know?” I asked, in shock.
