“Xakery are you out of your mind!?” My mother yelled, glaring at me. I sighed.

“Mom, this is the best decision” I answered.

“No, it's a stupid decision. How can you even think of ending your marriage? Amelia belongs here with us” she insisted.

I had to tell her about my decision, it was necessary.

“But she's in love with a human. I can't keep her here when her heart is somewhere else” I said and she groaned.

“Can you even listen to yourself!?” She roared. Just then, Amelia walked in on us in the throne room. She had tears in her eyes.

“Your majesty” she bowed before walking up to me.

“You really want to give up our marriage for my happiness?” She asked. I held her cheek and kissed her forehead.

“Amy, I love you, no doubt. But you know, if you love something, you've got to let it go. I just want you to be reunited with Noah so that you can be happy” I explained and she burst into tears and hugged me immediately.

“Thank you so much! Thank you!” She sobbed.

I feel bad that she's leaving me, I feel sad that I won't have her all to myself, but her happiness matters most.

“It's okay. But I have a condition” I said and she broke the hug and wiped her tears.

“What?”

“We'll have to restore your womb first. After that, we'll send you back to New York” I said and she gasped.

“Why isn't anyone considering what I want? I want Amelia as my daughter in-law!” My mother yelled out.

“Mom, please, this is my decision and I meant it” I said and she huffed.

I took Amelia away to her room and we sat down to continue our conversation.

“Before you leave, I think you should work on restoring your womb. Don't you wanna have kids for Noah?” I asked and she stared at me with tears in her eyes.

“Yes, I want to have kids with him” she answered and sniffed.

“Right! You need to get ready for that. You're going to heal yourself this time around” I said and she wept again.

“Stop that, I hate it when you cry. That's why I want you to go and be with the love of your life” I smiled even though I was hurt.

“I can't believe you'd let me go though it's making you unhappy” she said, wiping her tears gently. I chuckled softly and held her hand.

“I'm not unhappy”

“You're the one who said I'm like a goddess, I can feel what you feel right now and I know you love me and don't want to let me go” she said and I sighed. She's not lying.

“Yes Amy, I love you wholeheartedly. I've loved you from the first day I set eyes on you. I was spying on you through the magic mirror” I stopped and laughed.

“But what's the point when your heart is elsewhere?” I asked.

“What about you then? Will you take a new queen?”

“I don't know for now. Let's just get you ready to heal your womb” I said, changing the topic. She was getting me very emotional and I didn't want to show my weak side.

“So what do I need to do?” She asks.

“Joha will be here in a few minutes. I've sent Cullen a message to bring her here” I answered and she nodded.

Few minutes later, Joha arrived with Cullen.

“Your majesties” she bowed, Cullen did the same.

“Yes, Joha. Please get on with it” I said, not wanting any more delay.

“Of course. The curing process will last about two weeks. In these two weeks she will be in some sort of coma while she heals herself. When she wakes up, she'll be completely healed and ready to leave” Joha explained and I nod along.

“Okay, I'm ready” Amelia chipped in.

“Lie down” Joha ordered.

I watched Amelia climb into the bed and lie down facing the ceiling. Joha began to make some chants until Amelia's eyes closed and she fell into a deep slumber.

“Leave her alone for now. You can check on her once a day, to make sure she is still stable but I doubt that anything will go wrong” Joha smiled. I nod and leave with Cullen.

“Your majesty, you're serious about ending your relationship with the queen?” He asked.

“Yes I am”

“But you look miserable. You've always wanted her to be yours and now you let her go so easily?” He arched a brow at me.

“You won't understand until you fall in love” I replied and entered my chamber to think.

As soon as Amelia wakes up, we will go and reverse our vows and end the marriage. Then she can go back to the human world.

It sucks though, but I have no choice.

… Two weeks later …

🌼 Noah Smith 🌼

I was almost done getting ready for work when I heard a knock on my door. I went to answer it, it turned out to be Isabella. She was not looking happy at all.

“Isa? Is there a problem? You're here early and you don't look too good” I asked and she sniffed.

“Can I come in?” She requested and I nod, allowing her into the house.

Isabella and I have been in our one way relationship for two weeks now. Yes, one way because she loves me while I barely have feelings for her. She's always around, trying to cheer me up and make me like her. But I haven't been able to forget about Amelia. It's been rough without her but I guess I'm just going to have to pull through.

“So? What's the matter?” I asked, offering her a seat.

“I have some news. I just don't know whether it's good news or bad news” she sighed heavily.

“Tell me”

“Well… I'm.. I'm pregnant” she blurted out and looked at me.

I was shocked.

“You're what?” I asked.

“I'm pregnant Noah” she sobbed.

“How? Wait, you let another man get you pregnant while we're supposed to be dating and you still had the guts to come and say it to my face?” I was enraged. How could she do that!?

“What are you saying Noah. The child I'm carrying is yours” she said and my heart sank into my stomach. I sprang up and glared at her.

My child?

How on earth!!?

“If it's a joke you better stop it because it's not funny. How can you lay accusations like that on me when I know very well that we never slept together!?” I fired. She got up as well, crying profusely.

“Are you trying to reject me right now? I should have known! Noah, don't you remember two weeks ago? You drank so much and took advantage of me” she said and I tried to remember but got nothing. I couldn't have possibly drank that much.

Even when I'm drunk, I tend to remember the things I did so what's she talking about?

“You're lying! I'm not the father of your child. Isabella, stop this nonsense prank and leave. I have to get to work” I said and she scoffed, still crying.

“You really think this is joke? Why would I play with a matter as sensitive as this? There's no point going back and forth with you, just take this” she handed me an envelope. I opened it and went through it.

It's the pregnancy test results and it states that she's truly pregnant!

“Okay, you're pregnant but it's not for me” I insisted and she chuckled.

She brought out her phone and played a video. It was me! Both of us on my bed!!

Jesus! What have I done!?

“I had a feeling that you'd try to deny me and that's why I made the video. You took advantage of me after drinking too much and now I'm pregnant” she explained and I took my head in both palms.

I was confused and heartbroken. I can't believe what I've done. Amelia just left a a month ago and I've already gotten another girl pregnant. I'm such a b@stard! Gosh!!

“Sulking won't do us any good. Just look for a solution. And for your information, I'm not aborting my baby” she said and sat down, tapping her feet on the floor.

What do I do now? Marry her?

But she's so obnoxious and I don't love her!

I've put myself in trouble!

It's two weeks already. Amelia is supposed to be waking up today. I rush to her room with Fae and other maids. We entered the room and met her already sitting on the bed, but she looked weak. I rushed over and sat by her, hugging her tightly.

“You're awake!” I pointed out.

“Yes. I'm tired and my tummy hurts” she tried to smile but it was clouded by pain.

“Don't worry, you'll be fine” I looked down at her thighs and saw some blood. It's a monthly period. I guess restoring her womb was successful.

“You healed yourself” I smiled and she nodded. She was in pain, I could see. Her monthly period was the cause.

“Fae, please take her into the bathroom, give her a bath and change her. After that, give her the painkillers to reduce the pain” I ordered and Fae bowed.

“As you have commanded your majesty” she answered and took Amelia from me, leading her into the bathroom with two other maids. I noticed that the bed sheets were covered in blood as well so I had the remaining maids take it out and wash it.

After having her bath and dressing properly, Amelia came to meet me at Joha's chamber to end our marriage.

Many people weren't happy with our decision. The villagers were in tears because they've grown to love Amelia a lot. My mother was the least happy. She wouldn't even come and witness and break up.

“Place your hands on the book” Joha ordered. We obeyed.

“Now repeat after me..”

We reversed all our vows and cut the the engagement scarf that we tied on the day of our wedding. After that, we did some charity work to conclude the whole thing.

“You're officially separated” Joha said and I sighed.

Amelia looked at me with teary eyes and I shake my head at her. I don't like to see her tears.

We went to my mother's room to see her, but she was still furious.

“What do you two want here?” She asked sternly.

“Mom, don't be like that” I said.

“Mom, please forgive us” Amy added.

“Forgive you? Amelia what's so special about the human that you want to go and be with him? My son is everything any lady would want. Why do you hate him?” My mother asks.

“I don't hate him mom. He's a very good friend. Yes, a friend. I love someone else and I can't think of living without him” Amelia answered.

Hearing her say all that broke my heart badly but I had to pretend and hold back my emotions.

“Very well then. But I won't forgive you for breaking my heart” my mother said and asked us to leave her room. Amelia was crying already.

“I told you not to cry” I said, squeezing her palm.

“But the queen mother hates me” she said.

“She doesn't. She's just angry and will calm down soon. Now let's go and see if the portal is open” I said and she hugged me.

“Thank you so much Zack. I won't ever forget what you've done for me” she sniffed. I cuddled her and stroked her hair.

“I love you” I mutter.

Since my powers are back, I could easily open the portal by myself. I opened it and looked at her one last time.

“It's time to go. I wish you all the very best” I said and she sobbed again.

“Thank you so much” she answered, going closer to the portal.

Joha, Cullen and Fae were all present to witness her departure.

“Go well your majesty. You'll always be our queen” Joha said.

“Goodbye” she said to us.

“If Noah breaks your heart, just send me a mind link and I'll come and pull his teeth out” I said and she giggled.

I nod at her as she entered the portal and it closed.

I broke down immediately but Cullen was there to watch my back and console me.

“It's okay your majesty. Everything will be fine” he assured.

I really hope so.. it hurts so much.
