🌼 Amelia Lewis 🌼

“Powers?” Audrey asked, everybody turned to Zack.

“Yes..” he sighed.

The light got dim and I suddenly had an intuition to place my hand on Noah's chest. I did that and a warm light appeared on his chest, I felt a tingling sensation inside me. The light got dimmer until it disappeared completely.

Noah still wasn't awake.

“He's going to be fine” Zack said, walking over to me and Noah.

He touched his forehead and nodded.

“It's amazing, you're a healer” he chuckled.

“Don't worry, he'll be fine in a few hours” he assured but I was confused.

“Okay, can someone explain what just happened?” Audrey asked, looking freaked out.

“I.. I also don't know what happened, healer? How?” I asked, very confused and scared as well. I have no idea what I just did.

“It looks like I'll have to let you all in on a secret. You have to promise not to tell anyone. No one else apart from all of us in this circle must hear what I'm about to tell you” Zack sounded stern.

“I won't tell” Linda said.

“Me too” Audrey and Lisa chorus. He turned to me and I nod.

“Alright then. The truth is, I am not human” he blurted out. The girls and I stared at each other and then back at him.

“Not human? What does that mean?” I asked, wiping my tears, still holding on to Noah.

“I come from another world, Fye. A kingdom of magic and magical things. I happen to be the king of the kingdom” he paused, took a deep breath and continued.

He told us about his world, his people, and then my parents, and how I am a hybrid. It all sounded like a fairy tale to me. I mean, how?? Magic does not exist, but then, it's the only explanation to my powers.

“Wait what? I need to sit down” Audrey rubbed her forehead and sat on the couch dramatically.

“I don't believe it” Lisa scoffed.

Zack chuckled and raised his hand, bands of fire and sparks rose from his palm and he threw them at one of the pillows and it blew up. We all gasped in fear. But he wasn't done.

“I can also control minds, read minds.. well not often. And I can kill, but taking life will only reduce mine” he said and used his mind to lift Linda off the floor.

“Omg!! Omg!! Put me down please! I believe you just put me down!” Linda cried, floating in mid air. I sat there with my mouth open, still in shock about everything.

He put Linda down and smirked.

He turned to me.

“I'm sorry I lied and kept my identity from you. I thought you'd hate me if I told you, until I found out that you're a hybrid” he said and I sighed.

“You unlocked your powers when you said you loved Noah.. because your love for him is pure” he said and lowered his head sadly.

I can't believe this. So my mother was not human and I'm a hybrid? Why is it so hard to come to terms with? I'm a f*cking hybrid!! I mean, how is that even possible?

“I.. I don't even know what to say. My head is so messed up, I can't comprehend anything” I sighed.

Zack suddenly groaned, and held his chest.

“Are you okay?” Linda rushed over to him.

“My mother..” he said.

“Noo! I have to go” he said, looking scared.

His mother? What happened to his mother?

“Go? You can't go! Everything is still very confusing, you just can't leave us here!” Audrey yelled and I honestly think she's right.

Zack still has to explain a lot to me. I'm finding it hard to believe everything he told me.

“My mother is in danger, I have to go” he said and immediately he disappeared, just like that.

What the f*ck is happening?

“Okay, this is too strange. This is too much information to take in. I hope I wake up and all of this turns out to be a bad dream” Audrey sighed, holding her chest and looking around.

Linda and Lisa were holding each other in fear and I sat there on the floor with Noah, wondering what is happening.

🌼 King Xakery/ Zack 🌼

“Mother!! Where is my mother!!?” I screamed, running into the castle. The maids and guards were nowhere to be seen. Something very bad has happened and I felt it in my heart. Anytime a loved one is in danger, I feel it in my heart, I know for a fact that something had happened to my mother. I couldn't help but rush home.

“Mom!!” I yelled, running into her room. I threw the doors open and found her lying on the bed, with so many maids around her, including Joha and Cullen. I rushed to the bed and saw my mom looking pale.

“What happened to her!?” I asked with widened eyes.

“I'm afraid the plague came quicker than we thought and it struck her first” Joha answered.

“Plague? I thought it was some sort of hurricane!” I yelled.

“Unfortunately, it came in another form this time. The queen mother is really sick and may give up at any time” Joha shook her head sadly.

“No!!” I cried, sitting beside my mom and taking her hand.

“The only solution is to find the chosen queen. Only her unique powers can save us. The plague has only just begun” Joha said.

What on earth am I going to do?

Amelia just confessed her love for someone else, she will never accept to marry me and I know for a fact that she's my chosen queen.

I can't lose my mom, what do I do now??

“Is that only solution?” Cullen asked, noticing my dilemma.

“It's the only way” Joha bowed.

This isn't good at all. What do I do? Beg Amelia to marry me even though she loves someone else??

I managed to make Noah lie on the couch with Audrey's help. The entire place was silent because we were all meditating over what Zack said. I was more concerned about what happened to his mother. I hope everything is fine in his kingdom.

The ambulance came but we told them we didn't need their services anymore so they left but the police never showed up.

Audrey tried calling them again to tell them about my uncle but they didn't answer us. Is this some sort of joke?

“Do you think my uncle was serious when he said that even the police works for Peter?” I asked Audrey who was biting her lip in annoyance.

“I think so. This is so frustrating. What do we do now? Just stand around and watch them snatch what belongs to you?” She asked and I sighed.

“He's moving!!” Lisa yelled and I raced over to where Noah was lying. He had started moving his arms and then finally opened his eyes.

“Noah! Noah!” I hugged him tight, tears dropping from my eyes. His wound had totally healed and I now believe that Zack was right, I am a hybrid with healing powers.

Oh jeez!

“Amy? What happened? Did you watch the video?” He asked, breaking the hug. I nod with tears in my eyes.

“Well? Have you called the police? Those people are dangerous. They even shot me at..” he touched his back and was shocked that he didn't have any injury. He blinked at me in surprise and touched his back again.

“What the f*ck? How?” He asked.

“It's a long story” I sighed.

“Yeah, we haven't even heard it all” Linda added.

The door burst open and we were all startled. A dangerous looking man in a white suit walked in accompanied by an entourage, all dressed in black. We all got up and stared at them.

“Who are you? What are you doing in my house?” I asked and he chuckled.

“My house you mean” he raised a brow at me.

“Peter” Linda mumbled and hid behind me in fear.

This is the Peter? The mafia boss??

“You're a thief and you're going to get arrested!” I yelled at him and he laughed.

“Sorry princess, it seems I didn't make a proper introduction. I am Peter, top officials in the armed forces work for me” he bragged.

“You think you can get me arrested?” He laughed and I was engulfed in fear. I have never been this scared in my whole life.

“Why are they still here? Throw them out of my house!! Make sure they leave with nothing!!” He ordered and his men approached us with guns. They pushed us out of the house despite our struggling.

“And Amy darling! Do not even think of showing your face at the office, it's mine now” Peter grinned before shutting the door in our faces.

I broke down and wept like never before. Noah helped me up and made me lean on him.

“Let's go to my house, it's close by” he said and we all went to Audrey's car and she drove us to Noah's house.

I can't believe how easily I was stripped off everything I have. It all happened so fast. So many things happened in one night and it's killing me.

….

“So what do we do now?” Lisa asked. We all sat in Noah's small living room.

“Maybe we can take legal action against him” Noah suggested.

“Nah.. that man is powerful. I don't think we will ever be able to win a case against him” Audrey stated.

“Why didn't you just use your powers Amelia?” Linda scoffed.

“Powers? What powers?” Noah glared at me. I sighed and turned to him.

I told him everything that Zack told us, including how I healed him with my powers. He almost fainted from the shock. He wouldn't stop oogling at me in a weird way.

“You're a hybrid and you have powers? What is this? SpongeBob SquarePants?where anything can happen? I don't understand!” He exhaled, standing up and pacing around.

“I don't know why I wasn't able to use my powers. I guess I haven't gotten control over my powers yet” I said. Noah was still staring at me in disbelief.

“This would have been easier if Zack was here. I'm sure he would have dealt with those people. I don't know why he had to leave” Linda groaned.

“Okay wow.. my head is spinning” Noah said.

“What do we do now?” He asked.

“I think I need to rest first. I'm so f*cking stressed. I don't know what to do” I said, rubbing my head.

“Well, this place is too small for all of us, I'm taking the twins to my house. Noah, you have to take good care of Amelia tonight. I can only imagine what she's going through” Audrey walked over to me to hug me.

“Don't worry baby, I'm with you till the end” she whispered before breaking the hug.

“Alright, let's go girls” she said to the twins who hugged me one after the other before leaving with Audrey.

Noah brought me some cold juice which I gulped down in a hurry.

“I still can't believe this is all happening” I sobbed, resting on his chest. He caressed my hair and kissed it.

“I love you and I promise I won't leave your side” he whispered and I squirmed in his arms.

… Next Morning …

I woke up on the bed even though I remember sleeping on the couch. I didn't find Noah so I went downstairs to look for him and met him in the kitchen. He smiled when he saw me.

“Good morning beautiful hybrid” he said and I frowned.

“Is that supposed to be funny? Don't mock me” I said and he chuckled.

“I'm sorry, I've been thinking about it, it's kinda nice to know that you have powers. I'm still mind blown though” he said and I sighed.

“Whatever”.

“So tell me, how did you discover your powers?” He asked.

I made up my mind to tell him how I feel about him. Seeing him almost d!e, was the biggest shock of my life. I know I'm not good enough for him, but I can't ignore how much I've grown to love him.
In the midst of all this terrible things happening in my life, he's the one thing that keeps me happy.

“I love you” I said plainly and his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

“You what?”

“I love you Noah.. it's because I love you that I got to know about my powers. I love you” I repeated, tears already forming in my eyes. He stared at me for a while before pulling me into a passionate hug. He buried his face in my hair and sighed.

“Noah??” We heard a voice and turned around only to see Isabella standing by the kitchen door. She had tears in her eyes.
