🌼 Noah Smith 🌼

“Why don't you find out” she whispered, leaning in closer to me. I was shocked, I never expected that answer from her. But at the same time, I was very excited.

I leaned in too, preparing to kiss her. She closed her eyes, waiting to welcome my lips. As our lips got closer, and almost touched, we heard the sound of a car pulling up behind us. We were brought back to reality and turned to see who disrupted us.

“I'm so sorry to intrude.. but we wanna use this spot to set up a scene for our movie” a man said, walking out from the car.. sorry truck, with a bunch of others.

Amelia and I got up and cleaned out clothes.

“That's fine, we'll leave” I said and took Amelia's hands as we headed down the hill.

There was kind of an awkward silence between us because of the kiss we were about to share. I wish I got to kiss her, she probably isn't in the mood anymore.

We arrived at her gate and stopped, facing each other.

“Thanks for tonight. I feel much better after talking to you” she smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear.

“It's okay, I'm glad you're feeling better now” I said and she sighed.

“Yeah but not a word of this to anyone at the office or I'll fire you” she threatened and I chuckled.

“Sure thing boss” I winked and she blushed.

“Goodnight” I said and waved at her. She waved back and entered her house while I took a taxi back to mine.

I really wish I got to kiss her!!

My entire body is in severe pains right now. I can't even lift an arm without wincing painfully. Peter always has his way with me morning afternoon and night. Sometimes he straps me to the bed and whips me before f*cking me brutally. I can't take it anymore, my father must pay for what he's putting me through.

The door creaked open and I flinched.

A middle aged woman dressed in a maid attire walked in and I heaved a sigh of relief. She walked over to me with a tray of food and dropped it at the foot of the bed.

“It's time to eat” she said but the last thing on my mind was food.

“I'm not hungry” I said.

“Look dear, you have to eat, you need your strength” she insisted but I scoffed.

“Strength to do what? I'm better off dead! How can you even work for this monster?” I asked with teary eyes and she sighed.

“I don't have any other choice but to work for him. I unfortunately stumbled upon their den, the mafias and I was forced to choose between becoming one of them, or dying. I am not happy with what he's doing to you but I can't do anything about it” she narrated soberly.

“What if I told you that there was something you could do to help me” I said and she blinked at me in disbelief.”

“What?”

“You're free to go out of the house right? I want you to reach my cousin, Amelia Lewis and tell her where I am” I said and she shook her head in fear.

“Are you crazy? Telling your cousin, would lead to my death and the death of my entire family. These people are heartless and killing is nothing to them. I'm sorry I can't do it”

“Really? You're a mother aren't you? How would you feel if your daughter was in my situation? Wouldn't you try your best? Look, my cousin is very wealthy and influential, she won't let anything happen to you. Just find her and tell her where I am, she will take care of you” I assured, trying my best to convince her. She shook her head and sighed.

“I can't promise you anything Linda, but all I know is that I will try and best” she answered and I gave her a weak smile.

“Thank you so much. You're my only hope of getting out of here” I said.

“Eat now..” she said and left the room. It suddenly became quiet and dark again. I sighed and stared at the enticing food.

I haven't eaten for two days, all my thought has been on how to get out of here. I guess I should eat just to remain alive. I immediately took the food and pounced on it.

🌼 Isabella Harper 🌼

Audrey was extremely nice to me at work. Today, we spent the day in her office working on a particular design that has been proving difficult for her. With my help, we finished on time and she even bought me lunch. Other employees were jealous of how close Audrey and I have become in such a short time. From what I heard, she's usually blunt and and mean to others.

“You did a good job today Isabella” she commended.

“Thank you boss” I smiled.

“Huum. It's time for me to go home, you should go and get some rest too, it's already closing time, unless there's something you want to do before going home” she said and I shook my head. I was done with my work for the day too.

“No, I think I'll head home” I replied.

“Alright, see you tomorrow” she picked up her purse and left.

I packed up my stuff as well and headed out to take a taxi. I decided to stop by Noah's house and say hi. I've been missing him and I can't wait to see his handsome face.

I knocked on his door severally before he finally opened it. He was dressed as if he was going out. I wondered where he was off to.

“Hi Noah” I greeted, smiling as I entered the house.

“Isabella” he called.

“How was your day?” He asked.

“Great, Audrey is the best boss in the world” I beamed and he chuckled.

“I'm happy to hear that. So what are you doing here?”

“I just stopped by to say hi” I answered, tucking my hair behind my ear. He nodded and offered me a seat.

“I could just leave if you're going somewhere” I said.

“Oh no.. I just got back. I was about taking off my clothes when I heard you knocking” he answered.

“You're coming back from work by this time? You usually close from work earlier than this” I pointed out.

“Yes, I went to see Amelia” he replied.

“Your boss?” I raised a brow at him.

“Yeah”

I am suspicious of Noah. I keep having the feeling that he's relationship with Amelia is more than work relationship, I'm sure there's more to it. They're always together and I don't like it.

Amelia should settle for her class, and leave Noah for people like us.

“You're always with her” I pouted.

“What are you talking about?”

“Nothing. I should leave now” I said, getting up as I bite my lip.

I have feelings for Noah and I can't summon the courage to tell him. I hate rejection, what if he rejects me? I'll be so heartbroken and we may stop being friends, I can't afford that!

“Is everything okay Isabella? You can talk to me” he shrugged. I looked at him and looked away immediately.

“No, everything is fine. I will see you some other time” I said and left in a hurry.

How I wish Noah will love me back.. but all he cares about is Amelia. He doesn't even notice me.

My phone rang as soon as I got to my apartment and it was Noah's mother. She's very nice to me and always calls to check up on me.

“Good evening aunt” I said, placing the phone on my ear, holding it in between my shoulder and ear. Then I took off my jacket.

“Good evening my dear. How was your day?” She asked.

“Just fine, yours?”

“Great! Tell me, I hope your new job isn't too stressful?”

“No aunt, it's actually quite fun”

“That's good to hear. Have you heard from Noah?”

“Yeah, I saw him a couple of minutes ago” I answered, sinking into the couch.

“I hope you two are getting along?”

“Barely, he's always out with his boss” I rolled my eyes.

“Boss? Is he.. gay?” She gasped and I laughed.

“No aunt. His boss is a female” I answered.

“I see. Well don't worry dear, I'll talk to him”

“No don't do that. Just leave him alone” I sighed.

“We'll see about that” she hung up immediately and I giggled.

She's always stressing over nothing. I hope she does not call Noah and tell him anything.

🌼 King Xakery/ Zack 🌼

I entered my mom's chamber and met her with Joha.

“Not a word of this to Xakery” my mother told Joha just as I walked in.

“A word of what?” I asked and they both flinched.

“Xakery! How dare you come in here without my permission?” My mother asked, annoyed and kind of freaked out.

“I'm sorry, but I had to inform you that I was going back to the human world” I said.

“You will do no such thing” she snapped.

“Why? And what were you discussing with Joha that you didn't want me to find out?” I asked, walking closer to the both of them. Joha kept staring down at her feet, avoiding eye contact with me.

“It's nothing” my mother snapped.

“Your majesty..” Joha spoke but my mom shot her a glare.

“Why don't you let her talk mom?”

“Your highness, I'm sorry but he has to know, he's the core of everything” Joha said, glancing at my mother.

My mother groaned, folded her arms and turned away.

“Your majesty.. the prophecy has been revealed, and it's more bad news than good” she said. She stretched out her hand to me.

“It turns out, you know Amelia from your past life, hold my hand and I'll show you” she smiled and I hesitated before placing my hand on hers.

I suddenly saw a man and a woman playing under the rain, running about and laughing. The man gripped the woman from behind and hugged her tight while she giggled. He turned her around and she threw her arms around his neck.

“I love you so much” he said, she placed her forehead on his and sighed.

“I love you too” she answered and they kissed passionately.

Suddenly, a dark cloud gathered in the sky and it became very windy, a large, dark hurricane swept across the land, destroying, killing and damaging.

It separated the couple, taking them in different directions. I watched in agony as the woman cried and screamed at the top her voice before the hurricane squashed her to death.

Before she died, they promised each other that they would reunite in another lifetime.

I immediately let go of Joha's hand and breathed out loudly. She looked at me and smirked.

“Was that me?” I asked.

“Yes, you and Amelia in your past life. You two were separated by a plague and the same plague is about to hit the kingdom of Fye again” she sighed sadly.

“What's going to happen to Fye?” I ask, getting worried.

“A plague is going to hit Fye, and nothing will stop it. Only a sacrifice by the chosen queen can end it” Joha said.

“And that chosen queen is Fae! Xakery, you must stay here and marry Fae to save your people. You have no business with the human world” my mother buts in and I sigh.

“Is it Fae?” I ask Joha.

“No one knows, only the one who makes the big sacrifice is the chosen queen. It could be Amelia, we will find out soon” Joha answered.

“But what sacrifice are you talking about?”

“We will find out” she repeated and I groan. I hate it when she says that! Why can't she just tell me the truth so I can get this over with!?

“I have to go” I said.

“Xakery, you're not going back to the human world” my mom warned.

“I'm sorry mom, but since Joha won't tell me exactly what's going to happen, I have to go after my love. At least now I understand the connection between us, we were lovers in our past lives” I smiled, joyful.

“And she may be the chosen queen” I said and bowed to my mom before hurrying off, ignoring her screams.

How on earth am I going to reveal to Amelia that she's a hybrid and that we were once lovers?

What sacrifice is the chosen queen going to make?

Is Amelia the one?

Oh f*ck.. it's so complicated.
