🌼 Amelia Lewis 🌼

“You're crazy but I like you..” his words kept repeating in my head, it sounded too good to be true. After all my attempts to be wicked to him, he just told me that he likes me. All my attempts to stop myself from blushing failed as my cheeks turned bright pink. He noticed and smiled at me.

Noah stood barely inches away from me, I could feel his breath on my skin and it made me have goosebumps. I've never felt like this before, I can't comprehend.

“Now you know who I like, so stop being so jealous” he said.

“I'm not jealous” I retorted.

“Really?”

“Look Noah, I find it cute that you like me but the truth is, I'm not your kind of girl. You can't handle me, I'm sorry but you're just an employee and nothing more so don't place yourself too high” I said, looking him in the eye and trying to sound as serious as possible.

“Amelia..”

“Stop it Noah, I have a lot I wanna do in my lifetime, and falling in love isn't on that list. The sooner you realize your place, the better for you” I said, thinking I was mean but he smirked at me.

“Oh yeah? Well Amelia, I want you to mark today and bear what I'm about to say in mind” he said, moving even closer to me.

“I will make you fall for me, and I will make you confess it to me” he said, with a lot of confidence that got me surprised.

“That will never happen” I scoff.

“We'll see about that. Do have a lovely evening boss” he winked and strode out of the office.

He's freakishly cute and I can't get enough of him, but at the same time, I can't fall for him no matter what. I removed my womb on the count of I would never settle down. I'm sure Noah will want a child, which I can't give so it's better we don't get attached. But at the same time, I'm so drawn to him.

I sighed and left the office as well, the day is over and I have an issue to sort out at home.

I got home and met my uncle arguing with Lisa. They stopped talking when they saw me and I suspected them.

“What's going on?” I asked, walking in between them.

“My father sent my sister away” Lisa cried.

“I didn't send her away, she went to work. Amelia, you're the one that said we should get a job and help ourselves and that's exactly what I'm doing” he said.

“Where exactly did you send her to work?” I ask.

“One of my friend's wife needed a new maid so I sent her to go and work there” my uncle answered. I sighed.

“Well he should have informed me. I had to wake up and Linda was gone. You know how attached we are to each other and you just separated us like that” Lisa sniffed.

It's true, Lisa and Linda are very close with a special bond. They usually get restless when they are apart for a long time, it leads many to wonder if they can get married to different men.

“It's okay Lisa, just go upstairs, I'll talk to your dad” I said. She nodded and ran upstairs.

“Uncle Raymond, tell me the truth, where is Linda?” I asked, not believing his cock and bull story. They left here yesterday and he never mentioned anything like a job so where's all this coming from?

“What do you mean by that? I've told you the truth” he said, glaring at me.

“Then why didn't you tell me that yesterday?” I questioned.

“Really? Listen Amelia, you don't have any right to question me like that. Linda is my daughter and I can do whatever I want with her, understand?” He said, sounding stern.

“As a matter of fact, I have every right since I'm feeding you” I snapped and he groaned.

“Just make sure my cousin is alright, or you'll have me to contend with” I said before leaving for my room.

🌼 Raymond Lewis 🌼

I met up with Peter in a secret club. The club is only open to people of his kind, mafias and mobsters. The whole place was buzzing with music and strippers on poles with wealthy men throwing bundles of cash at them. I sat there with my drink in my hand, watching them with lust. I really wanted the kind of money these men have.

“Ray” Peter called, joining me in the VIP lounge. We shook hands as he took a seat.

“How's my daughter? I hope you're not being too harsh on her?” I asked and he raised a brow at me.

“Really? That was sudden” he said.”

“Just that Amelia told me that she didn't want anything happening to her and..”

“Wait a minute Ray, are you seriously afraid of your niece? This has gone too far” he said and burst into a loud laughter. I frowned.

“I'm not afraid of her, Linda is my daughter and I'm just worried about her. So I hope you're not being harsh on her” I said and he shook his head.

“Your daughter is fine Ray. Now let's discuss what we came here for” he said, getting serious again.

“So, what should we do? How do we get back everything from Amelia?” I asked.

“Well, I have very smart men who work for me, I'm going to send them to work for Amelia. Once they get in, they'll be able to attack her from inside, in no time, Amelia will lose everything” he explained. I was happy with it, but I didn't quite understand that he meant.

“What do you mean by she'll lose everything? How will I possess it then?” I asked.

“Raymond it's very simple. We will strip her of everything and trick her into signing over everything to you as a way of regaining her wealth. Unknown to her that she's giving up her wealth” he explained and I nodded, grinning.

“Now that sounds nice” I agreed.

“Yes, so when do we get started?” He asked.

“What do you mean? Let's get started immediately. I can't wait any longer. I also want to be able to spend as I wish” I said, watching the men with the strippers. Peter chuckled and put his arms around my shoulder.

“Ray, that's the life. Trust me, you're gonna enjoy it” he said and I sighed.

“Let me give Hugh a call” he said, taking away his hand and pulling out his phone.

“Who's Hugh?”

“You'll find out” he says.

“Hello?” He said, placing the phone on his right ear.

“Hugh, get over here now” he ordered and hung up. Minutes later, a handsome lad with messy brown hair walked into the lounge and bowed to Peter.

“Raymond, this is Hugh, he'll be leading the operation. By tomorrow, he'll be applying for a job in Amelia's company and once he gets it, which he will, the plan will kick in” Peter explained.

“Nice to meet you Mr Lewis” Hugh said with a smirk. I nodded at him.

“Yes. The both of you will work together, just make sure Amelia never catches you together” Peter warned.

“You have nothing to worry about, I'll be careful. Thank you very much Peter” I said, feeling excited.

“You're welcome, what are friends for?” He grinned. Hugh left while Peter and I ordered for more drinks and enjoyed the rest of the night in the club.

💢 Kingdom of Fye 💢

My mother has been on my neck for the past few days and now because of her ceaseless mind links, I had to come back to Fye to meet her. I'm sure it'll be a while before I'm able to go back to the human world because the portal is not always open.

I changed back to my kingly attire, and entered the palace. The maids and guards bowed down to me as I made my way into the throne room.

Minutes after my arrival, my mother's presence was announced and I had to stand up to receive her. She looked angry with me, but I had to kiss her hand as a sign of respect before we sit down.

“Leave us!” She yelled out and every single maid and guard scrambled out of the throne room, leaving only the two of us.

“Mother, how have you been?” I asked, she glared at me with her feisty eyes.

“As if you care! You left for so many days without even caring to let me know where you were going. How could you leave for the human world after I warned you not to?” She asked, angry.

“I'm so sorry mother, I would have told you but you wouldn't have let me go. You see mom, I fell in love with a human and I left to win her heart. Isn't that what you've always wanted? For me to get married?” I said, she sighed.

“Yes dear, but not to a human! They are dangerous. They k!lled my only sister” she said.

“There are lots of beautiful maidens here, Fae is ready to marry you. She's going to make a perfect wife!” She chimed but I groaned.

“No mother! I only want to be with Amelia Lewis!” I said, getting annoyed. She gasped and looked shocked.

“Did you just say Lewis?” She asked.

“Yes, is there a problem?”

“No.. don't ever say that name again.. infact, this discussion is over” she stood up and walked away before I could call her back.

That was weird, why did she look so scared? Does my mom know Amelia? If so, what's their connection? I have to find out, it might lead me to find out the connection between Amelia and I. I called Cullen to go to the royal sorcerer with me.

Joha is an old sorcerer who has served the kingdom for so many centuries. I'm sure she'll know what's going on. Cullen and I met her in her cottage where she was practicing her sorcery.

“Your majesty..” she bowed.

“To what does this servant owe this visit?” She asked, keeping her head bowed.

“Get up Joha. I need to find out something from you” I said and signalled Cullen to talk.

“Joha, what do you know about the name Lewis?” He asked and Joha's eyes widened in shock. Now I'm sure that something is definitely up.

“Oh my goodness your majesty. Please don't do this to me, if I tell you anything, the queen mother might have my head” she said as humbly as possible but I need this information badly.

“Joha, I'm giving you an order. Tell me right now. You know you can't go against the king's order” I said sternly and she sighed, moving to her big book and turning the pages slowly.

“Your majesty.. I will tell you” she said and sighed again.

“It all started when the queen mother's sister, and her best friend, Xarrisa, decided to visit the human world. Xarrisa met a human, she got carried away despite the queen mother's sister warning her. She was in love, deeply in love, with a man, called Alfred Lewis” she said and that hit me like a bomb.

Isn't that Amelia's father? Okay, this is getting interesting.
