I ran after Isabella, she tried shooting at me but I dodged her bullets until she ran out of bullets and dropped the gun. I chased her into the busy road. I had to avoid getting hit by cars but I wasn't going to let her get away with this.

She ran into an alley, a dead end and I had her cornered with no where to run. Already the police are on their way.

“Why did you do this?” I asked, breathing heavily after the sprinting.

“What would you have me do? Sit back and watch her have you after suffering to gain your attention? I can't! I loved you Noah, but you ignored me!” She yelled, sweating and crying at the same time.

“You don't love me, you're obsessed and that's all. You have to understand that you can't force anyone to love you, because of you, Amelia is at the verge of dying” I sniffed.

My Amy.. I can't watch her leave me like this. I can't bear it.

Just then, we heard the police sirens and she gasped.

“No, no please Noah. Don't let them take me away please” she cried.

“You deserve it” I hissed and turned away immediately the police arrived. They apprehended her as she screamed my name. I didn't look back.

“Hello? Linda? Where are you now?” I asked into the phone.

“At the general hospital. She just got admitted” she answered and I gasped.

“Hospital?! You shouldn't have taken her there! Everyone will find out that she's not totally human if they examine her” I said.

“Oh, I didn't think about that” she sniffed.

“It's fine. I'm coming over, just don't let them examine her yet” I hung up and stopped a taxi immediately. Within minutes, I arrived at the hospital and met Linda arguing with the doctors and nurses. I jumped in on the conversation and demanded that they release Amelia to us.

“Why? She's lost a lot of blood. We have to revive the patient, she does not have much time” one of the doctors responded.

“It's non of your business. Just give her back to us” I said but they continued arguing and insisted on treating her.

Just then, Zack walked through the door of the hospital. I was shocked to see him. How did he know where we were??

“Don't worry Noah, I'll take it from here” he grinned, patting my shoulder. He faced the doctors.

“You were saying?” He asked. But before the doctors could speak, he snapped his fingers and they all froze.. literally. They were not moving at all. I was amazed.

“That shut them up” he rolled his eyes and flashed us a smile. No wonder he's king.

“What happened to Amelia?” He asked.

I noticed Linda was staring at him with teary eyes.

“She was shot” I answered.

“F*ck! In the heart right? I knew I made a good decision by coming here. I felt that something would go wrong. Let's go to the ward” he said and led the way into the ward where Amelia was kept.

My poor Amy. She already had an oxygen mask placed on her nose. She had lost way too much blood. I rushed to her and took her hand. I couldn't stop myself from weeping.

All this is my fault. I'm a bad boyfriend! I should have at least waited for her, but I brought Isabella into my life and it has led to this.

“I'm so sorry Amy. Please just be okay, please” I mumbled, kissing her hand.

“I have to try and save her. She's critical right now. She can heal herself but she needs help to do it” Zack said, sitting beside her.

“How?” Linda spoke.

“I'm going to try and connect subconsciously with her and with our powers combined, I'm sure she will be able to heal. That's the advantage of being a healer” he said.

“If it were me, I probably won't be able to survive it. Amelia is one hell of a strong hybrid” he added and chuckled.

I still can't believe that Zack would let Amelia come back to me after everything. He loves her, I can see it, but he let her go. I feel so stupid right now. Maybe I don't deserve Amelia, maybe Zack can take better care of her.

“Okay. Just let her be alright” I said and he nodded.

He took her hand from me and closed his eyes. After some seconds, he became still. I touched him but he wasn't moving.

“I think we should give them space to finish up” Linda said and we left the ward.

It's so weird that Linda and I were the only moving things inside the hospital. No one else is entering the building, I wonder how Zack is able to achieve that.

I paced around, wondering how long it would take for Zack and Amelia to come back to reality.

“Calm down, Zack said she will be fine” Linda said.

“I know but I can't stop worrying. I just wish.. I wish..” I groan.

“You wish you waited for her?” She asked and I sighed.

“Yes. Amelia doesn't want anything to do with me anymore but the truth is I can't function without her. I know I made a mistake by trying to date Isabella, but I thought Amelia was married and would never come back” I explained, blaming myself for everything.

“It's okay, stop. Now you're making me tear up” she said and I sighed again. We peered into the ward and they were still in the same position.

“Just look at them, they look perfect together. She will probably wake up and choose Zack over me” I was almost at the point of crying but sucked in my emotions.

“Stop blaming yourself Noah. I know I was against you from the beginning, about moving on. But Lisa made me realize that it was only fair for you to move on. Amelia told us she was never coming back, were you going to spend your whole life thinking about her?

Of course not, you had to move on. So stop making yourself look bad” Linda explained calmly.

I rubbed my forehead, I was under a lot of tension. Just then, my phone rang and it was my mother. What does she want?

“Hello?” I spoke into the phone.

“Noah? Where are you? Come home right now” she demanded.

“I can't right now. I will see you later mom” I answered.

“Noah, you better come back home before I do something stupid” with that she hung up and I groaned.

F*ck!! Why does she always do this? Why does she always impose her wishes on me? What's she doing back in New York anyways??

“Was that your mom? Is there any issue?” Linda asked.

“I don't know. I have to rush and see her, please look after Amy” I said. She nodded and I ran off.

No one was entering the hospital, it's like it's invisible to everyone outside and I'm still shocked by it. I boarded a taxi to my house.

“Noah, what the hell happened? Where is Isabella?” My mother asked immediately I entered the house. She didn't even give me breathing space.

“Stop obsessing over Isabella already. She's evil and she got what she deserved” I answered.

“So you sent my Isabella to jail because of that rich sl*t? I'm sure Isabella didn't do anything, she's the sweetest person I know” she insisted and I scoffed.

“Oh really? Why is it so hard for you to admit that you're wrong mom? It's all over the news, Isabella shot Amelia and now Amy is suffering in the hospital. Why can't you just admit that you were wrong about Isabella!?” I yelled, getting frustrated. She huffed and folded her arms.

“You caused it. If she shot Amelia then it was your fault. The poor girl simply wanted a place in your life but you kept pushing her away!” She yelled as well.

“Can you even hear yourself mom? How can you support that girl after what she did? None of this was my fault, infact it was all your fault!” I screamed, tears forming in my eyes.

“You're a.. you're a.. bad mother! I told you I wanted to be left alone but you kept pushing me to Isabella, claiming it was best for me. It only led to her turning vicious and attempting murder! It's your fault for imposing your decisions on me!” I couldn't help but cry.

“Noah! How dare you say such things to me? I'm your mother” she said.

“A mother that doesn't care about his child's happiness? Is that a mother? You knew I was never going to love Isabella but you forced me to accept her and now she's in jail. And it's all because of you” I said and wiped my tears.

“From today… I don't want your opinion in anything that has to do with me mom. Keep your opinions to yourself and leave me out of it. Just leave and go back to Seattle” I said and she burst out crying.

“Noah.. please, you're breaking my heart” she sobbed.

I felt bad seeing my mother cry, I feel very bad watching her shed tears but I was angry at myself and everything around me.

Zack has always been the one saving Amelia's life, he has always loved her, even in their past lives. I don't stand a chance, I broke her heart and now she will leave me for good.

“I didn't mean to be a bad mother.. I thought I was doing the right thing” she continued to sob and I bit my lip.

I opened my eyes after the intense pain I felt in my chest. I blinked rapidly, and saw Zack sitting beside me. He smiled weakly at me. We're both weak after the hard work. He helped to revive me, I'm so grateful.

“You're welcome” he said as if reading my mind.

“Where is.. Noah? Linda? Isabella? Did she get away?” I asked and Linda rushed in immediately. She gasped and hugged me.

“You're okay? I can't believe it!” She squealed.

“Yes I'm fine. What happened?” I asked again.

“Isabella has been arrested. That b*tch deserves more than death” she answered.

“And Noah?”

“He left to see his mother. To be honest, he's not himself, he has been blaming himself and beating himself up. He feels he doesn't deserve you” she explained and I sighed.

I turned to Zack.

“I will forever be grateful to you for saving me again” I said.

“I know what you want to say. Amelia, I let you come back so that you can be reunited with Noah. It's true that we were past lovers, but it doesn't mean we will be together in every lifetime.

The gods chose you to lead the people out of doom. You'll always be the chosen queen, the goddess that the people of Fye will always worship. We are soulmates, but not partners, and that's okay. Go and get your love” he smiled at me and I jumped on him, shedding tears.

“You're the best person in the world Zack. Thank you, thank you so much for everything. I will always have a place for you in my heart” I cried and he stroked my hair.

“I love you” he whispered before breaking the hug.

“I.. I need to get to him right away” I said, getting down from the bed.

“Go ahead with Linda, I'll unfreeze everyone here” he chuckled.

I nod and immediately ran off with Noah. I have never felt this sort of adrenaline rush. All I could think about was Noah, all I could think about was having him wrap his arms around me once again.

I'm no longer angry with him, I just want to be with him.

I started crying again, it began to rain and Linda and I got soaked in the rain.

We arrived at Noah's house and the door was open. I stopped by the door, breathing heavily, with Linda behind me. Noah was facing his mother, and they were arguing.

“Because of you.. I've possibly lost Amelia forever” Noah said and more tears fell from my eyes.

“You haven't lost me” I muttered and he turned immediately. His eyes widened on seeing me, they were glistening with tears.

“Amelia?” He called. I slowly walked into the house, going to stand in front of him.

He lifted his hand and touched my face.

“You're okay” he said and I nod.

“Yes I am”

“I know why you have come. To tell me that you're leaving with Zack right?” He asked and I shook my head.

“No, I've come to tell you that I can't leave the person who made me who I am. You changed me Noah, you made me a better version of myself and brought out the best in me. Your pure and undeniable love is the reason why my destiny came to manifestation. You're my whole life” I said in a shaky voice, shedding more tears.

He used his thumb to wipe my tears and cupped my cheeks.

“You mean the world to me.. I don't know if I can live without you” he said softly, placing his forehead on mine.

“You won't have to.. I'm not leaving you” I assured and he wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me to himself. I hugged him back and wept on his chest.

“Don't leave me again”

“I'm not going anywhere”

I looked up and caressed his cheek.

“Hottie” I giggled, remembering the first day I saw him.
